What you'll do:

SCOPE OF THE POSITION:
This position is responsible for all aspects of warehouse functions including receiving, storing, handling, shipping and preparing product for customer delivery. In addition, this position proactively plans, communicates, and delivers specified equipment and parts to technicians as needed with future and current jobs.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Manage inventory including receiving, verifying product counts, and maintaining inventory organization.
Contribute to lean inventory and communicate any excess inventory issues.
Package and palletize product for shipping.
Operate forklift to load or unload trucks as needed.
Assemble and fill orders to be shipped to customers.
Label and pack shipping documentation with shipments.
Label incoming parts/components and place inventory in assigned storage areas.
Ensure warehouse/equipment is maintained on a regular basis.
Ensure parts/components are stored in proper inventory places.
Report any inventory inaccuracies to the Warehouse Supervisor.
Deliver parts and components on assigned job orders proactively and on-time to assigned technicians in service shop.
Communicate with Service Manager, Parts Coordinator, and Purchasing & Materials Manager regularly about upcoming jobs for component and parts needs.
Assist delivery drivers as needed.
Maintain exemplary housekeeping in warehouse.
Maintain smart and safe work practices at all times.

What you need to be successful:

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
* Bachelor's degree preferred. Will consider candidates with the appropriate experience.
* Experience in logistics engineering and/or material flow activities (Receiving, Warehousing, Shipping)
* Experience in developing and initiating Lean Manufacturing based material flow lines in a manufacturing operation preferred
* At least 3 years of prior supervisory experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment preferred
* Proficient in using ERP systems, (warehouse management system, material planning & shipping/receiving modules)
* Experience with material flow processes and strategies including conveyance, part presentation and plan for every part in a made to order, metal fabrication environment strongly desired
* Detail oriented and data driven; Strong data analysis skills
* Strong verbal and written communication skills
* Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
* Must be able to lift 50 pounds; anything heavier requires a two-person lift
