Posting Summary
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Temporary Research Assistant for the Center for Advanced Biotechnology and Medicine ( CABM) on the Rutgers Biomedical and Health Sciences Campus in Piscataway, New Jersey.

Among the key duties of this position are the following:

  • Obtains and documents informed consent of study participants.
  • Remotely administers evaluations and assessments to the study subjects via Zoom to measure cognitive function and the presence of behavioral and psychiatric disability.
  • Scores assessments and evaluations according to manufacturers' instructions and enters participants' scores and raw data into a central database.
  • Maintains accurate records of experimentation and research and ensures data confidentiality.
  • Prepares written reports of evaluation results and provides them to study participants.
  • Follows institutional compliance and research guidelines, and keeps all trainings up to date.
  • Maintains the highest standard of confidentiality and implements good research practices related to sensitive data.
  • Communicates effectively and regularly with the research team and Principal Investigator.

Minimum Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in psychology or a related discipline.

  • Must understand and follow Good Research Practice Guidelines.
  • The ability to manage sensitive and confidential data.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with human subjects research.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Standing, sitting, walking, talking, seeing, and hearing. Manual dexterity and vision sufficient for administering evaluations and observing behavior. Computer data input required.
WORK ENVIRONMENT;
Laboratory and office environment. Universal precautions are mandatory.
