This is a remote role in the United States

The Data Architect is responsible for Design, Build and Delivery of Data technology solutions on Bright Horizons Customer Data Platform (CDP) that are aligned with business needs. Candidate should be able to understand overall CDP / Data eco system, build roadmaps aligned to business need and provide technical recommendations, best practices working with internal and external teams to deliver results. Build and Deliver CDP Centric Large Language Models (LLMs) to deliver more personalize recommendations and offers to our customers. Transform the existing CDP landscape from a traditional Data platform to more of an Agentic AI platform that can handle data at scale and build LLM and Agentic AI solutions for more efficiency at speed. Collaborate with Product and Business Organizations on requirements, roadmap and deliverables and produce organizationally aligned outcomes. Prior experience on implementing enterprise level data initiatives and next generation technologies is a requirement.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership on design, development and execution of Data Engineering and Data Analytics solutions on CDP

  • Design and implement Data led MarTech solutions on CDP that helps marketing / business team to leverage and build on the platform.

  • Design and build solutions on CDP, built on Microsoft Customer Insights Data (CI-D),Customer Insights Journey (CI-J), to further enhance the platform with more capabilities as needed.

  • Design and build LLM and Predictive ML models on the platform to unleash more machine learning capabilities across customer transactions and behavior.

  • Build Agentic AI solutions on CDP with the modern AI driven architecture to build Agents that help in driving the insights for Marketing / other LoBs in more of an automated way.

  • Define and Design the Next Bes Action and Offer initiative within BH to build solution driven with LLM and ML models to understand customer behavior patterns and recommend cross-sell & up-sell opportunities.

  • Define and implement data architecture frameworks, standards, and principles, including data modeling, metadata management, data security, and master data management.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement data extraction, transformation processes and data integration strategies.

  • Participate in proposing new technical architectures and solutions to improve and enhance existing architectures.

  • Determine scope and provide level of effort estimates for project tasks and related activities, and match required skill sets to task requirements and allocate team resources appropriately.

  • Experience with data modeling and schema design, data normalization / de-normalization, and data integration approaches and technologies such as those used in multi-source enterprises.

  • Effective Communication & articulation with internal and external stakeholders

  • Teamwork: Team player and technology leader in organization set up

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science

  • 7 years In building Data Engineering solutions and products

  • Experience in Data Engineering and Data Science technologies, including building custom data solutions and bespoke Customer Data Platforms (CDPs) across multiple data platforms

  • Experience designing and building ML and LLM solutions on CDPs and other data platforms, including work with Agentic AI and RAGbased architectures, with experience in the Microsoft Azure ecosystem (CID/CIJ, Dynamics 365 Customer Insights, Azure Data Lake, Azure Purview, and Azure OpenAI integration).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree

  • Advanced understanding of building bespoke CDPs preferably on Microsoft CI-D /CI-J or any other platforms such as Salesforce, Adobe, Tealium or others.

  • Experience with real-time data ingestion and processing using tools like Azure Event Hubs, Kafka, or Stream Analytics

  • Hands-on experience designing and implementing customer identity resolution frameworks and Customer 360 views using deterministic and probabilistic matching techniques.

  • Good understanding of data governance frameworks, including data lineage, cataloging, and stewardship using tools like Azure Purview

  • Familiarity (or aptitude in line) with integrating ML models into CDPs for personalization, churn prediction, or segmentation using Azure ML or Databricks.

  • Understanding of MarTech stack includes technologies such as Web Tagging and Analytics, Customer Match and Merge, or personalization.

  • Keep current on CDPs technology roadmap and provide recommendations on the adoption of new features that would benefit BH.

  • Thorough understanding of the complete software development life cycle with ability to learn and adapt to innovative technologies quickly.

  • Experience in building Data platforms with high level of data quality, compliance, and good understanding of data privacy laws such as CCPA, GDPR etc.

  • Good understanding to build application integrations with data platforms ensuring data security, data access and service-oriented architecture solutions.

  • Knowledge of Data Technologies such as PySpark, Azure, Synapse, Snowflake, Data Factory, Informatica cloud, SQL Databases and others.

  • Familiarity with information integration activities such as mapping and transformation, data validation, and data analysis including data mining and business intelligence.

  • Experience building and supporting mission critical applications, running in a highly distributed manner.

  • Familiarity with configuration management concepts and tools, source code control, and development standards.

  • Familiarity with software usability concepts.

  • Experience collaborating with multiple customers and technical staff, including building consensus and mediating compromises when necessary.

  • Strong logical and technical critical thinking skills.

  • Strong judgment and decision-making ability.

  • Passion and ability in providing excellent customer service.

  • Experience overseeing (from a technical perspective) multiple projects

The annual salary for this position is between $155,000 - $170,000. The pay range listed here is what Bright Horizons in good faith anticipates offering for this job opening. Actual compensation offers within this range will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education and training, certifications, geography, and other relevant business or organizational factors.

This position is also eligible for bonus.

Also, depending on hire date and subject to applicable eligibility requirements and accrual schedules, new employees in this role receive up to: 9 paid holidays annually; 40 hours of sick time per year based on full-time schedule, and 120 hours of vacation time per year based on full-time schedule(vacation time may be used for sick leave purposes under any applicable state or local sick or safe time law).
