See Table 15 for the annual salary range for this position at 100% time. A reasonable estimated full-time rate for this position at 100% time is $70,977 to $82,284 annually. However, percent appointments may vary.

Initial appointment one (1) year with potential renewal, based on performance, programmatic needs, and available funding.

Position description

The Department of Communication invites applications for a Lecturer position.

The successful candidate will teach one or more courses per academic year. The classes we currently need are two new offerings in AI Literacy, one undergraduate/graduate bridge course in R Programming, and Comm 187 (Data Science and Communication) or possibly others, depending on curriculum needs.

All courses are taught in-person on campus. Therefore, applicants must be able to teach in-person, with no additional reimbursement.

This position will remain open until filled.


Qualifications
Basic qualifications (required at time of application)

Qualified applicants must have completed all requirements for a Ph.D. (or equivalent) in a Social Science discipline, or a field with research or training directly applicable to the course content being taught, by the time of application (ABD status).

Additional qualifications (required at time of start)

Candidates should have a Ph.D. by the appointment start date.

Preferred qualifications

Preference will be given to candidates with proven undergraduate teaching experience and mastery of the course content.
