Exciting Opportunity at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center: Join the Piro Lito Lab as a Research Technician!

The Lito Lab at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center investigates how RAS oncoproteins drive cancer growth and how their biology can be exploited to develop targeted therapies. A new hire would contribute to advancing next-generation treatments and overcoming drug resistance, directly helping expand effective precision medicine options for patients with RAS-driven cancers.

Role Overview:

  • Laboratory Support: Prepare and maintain lab inventory, equipment, instruments, solutions, assays, and other essential supplies.
  • Techniques & Assays: Perform specialized molecular biology and biochemistry techniques, such as cell culture, PCR and molecular cloning, electrophoresis, Western blots, protein and DNA purification, and fluorescent, colorimetric, or bioluminescent microplate assays.
  • Data Management: Record and analyze research data, prepare reports, and provide insights to the research team.
  • Collaboration: Assist peers and researchers with ongoing projects, fostering a team-oriented, supportive environment.

Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences, or a related field.
  • Proven basic laboratory skills and the ability to handle diverse tasks in a research setting.

Core Skills:

  • Attention to detail and strong record-keeping habits.
  • Ability to follow protocols while troubleshooting when needed.
  • Team-oriented approach to supporting postdocs and fellow researchers.
  • Adaptability in a dynamic lab environment.

  • Schedule: 37.5 hours per week (onsite)

Pay Range: $26.77 - $40.05 FSLA Status: Non-Exempt
