Job Description: Assistant Director, Interprofessional Programming and Quality
Summary of the position: The Assistant Director of Interprofessional Programming and Quality provides operational leadership of Center for Interprofessional Health (CIH) programming and development in support of the CIH strategic plan. The Assistant Director of Interprofessional Programming and Quality collaborates with content experts and CIH leadership to oversee the development, implementation and quality improvement of interprofessional practice and education programs and experiences for students, faculty, and the community. The Center for Interprofessional Health, co-founded by Academic Health Sciences and the Office of Academic Clinical Affairs at the University of Minnesota, serves more than 26 health professions programs across the University of Minnesota, including students in Duluth, Rochester, St. Cloud and the Twin Cities of Minneapolis-St. Paul.
Duties and Responsibilities: Operational leadership of CIH programming and initiatives (40%) * Oversee operational and administrative processes for CIH programs and initiatives to ensure effective development and delivery. * Cultivate and sustain collaborative relationships with participating academic programs by serving as a liaison between CIH and the health profession programs across four Minnesota campuses, aligning curricula with CIH initiatives, proactively communicating learner goals and expectations, and developing outreach strategies that support the effective integration of interprofessional programming to ensure cohesive, high-quality classroom and community-based learning experiences. * Lead the design and implementation of instructional materials and learning management systems that support student achievement of learning objectives through innovative interprofessional experiences in classroom, community and clinical settings. * Contribute to the design, development and piloting of new programs and initiatives in support of the CIH strategic priorities
Data Management (20%) * Serve as the primary CIH liaison to Health Sciences Technology (HST) for the strategic development and optimization of the 1Health Database while also ensuring data integrity and confidentiality. * Guide database functionality to support CIH operations, including curriculum management, participant tracking, and evaluation processes, as well as the collection, organization and integrity of program data using standardized processes to ensure accuracy and consistency of data. * Collaborate with CIH leadership, faculty and staff to produce data reports that inform strategic planning and decision-making across the Center as well as research, scholarly initiatives, and evidence-informed program development. * Oversee and continuously update the Center's website, ensuring accurate and timely maintenance of content areas, while optimizing content for clarity, accessibility, and user engagement. Quality assurance and enhancements (25%) * Monitor program effectiveness and lead improvements by tracking educational curricula, co-curricular programming, and community partnerships through data-driven assessments, identifying opportunities to enhance quality and improve outcomes. * Analyze and report program performance by evaluating program outcomes, synthesizing findings into clear reports and strategic recommendations for CIH program leads, leadership and external partners. * Drive continuous quality improvement by identifying gaps and opportunities revealed through evaluation findings and oversee the implementation of program, curriculum, and workflow enhancements to optimize efficiency, effectiveness, and impact. Supervision (10%) * Supervise performance and deliverables of CIH Education Coordinator(s), fostering professional growth and development. * Conduct performance evaluations for CIH Education Coordinators and develop staff training initiatives to support continuous improvement. * Lead recruitment, hiring, onboarding, and ongoing training efforts for new team members to ensure effective program support and adequate staff coverage. * Serve as the authorized hiring approver for CIH interns. Other Duties as assigned (5%)
Qualifications
Qualifications: REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: * Bachelor's degree with at least 6 years of related experience, or Master's Degree plus at least four years of related experience. * Demonstrated experience in the operational leadership of educational programming, specifically involving multi-program coordination * Proficiency in managing databases and learning management systems, with a demonstrated ability to ensure data integrity and optimize system functionality for tracking and evaluation * Experience in personnel management, including recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and conducting performance evaluations for professional staff. * Experience in interprofessional practice and/or health sciences education settings
PREDERRED QUALIFICATIONS: * Practical experience applying systems-level thinking across organizations * Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to work with health professions faculty and students, as well as University-level systems leadership and senior administration. * Proficiency in written and verbal communication. * Ability to manage complex interrelated operations in such a way that they are internally efficient and contribute to the benefit of the whole organization. * Proven ability to build and sustain relationships, work in teams and collaborate effectively * Demonstrated proficiency in computer and cloud-based software packages (Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace) as well as Zoom, Qualtrics and Canvas * Familiarity with the design and implementation of instructional materials across classroom and community settings. * Previous experience using Qualtrics for building evaluation and assessment surveys, and reviewing and reporting results.

Pay and Benefits
Pay Range: $76,500-$81,500 ; depending on education/qualifications/experience While our salary ranges provide a framework, it is important to note that most of the time, the initial pay may not reach the maximum of the range.
