Experience Required:
- Requirement of a minimum of 1-3 years of professional culinary experience - assisted living dining, high-end hospitality, or open-kitchen concepts.
- Experience working in high-pressure environments while maintaining quality and presentation.

- Culinary degree, certification, or formal culinary training

The Difference You'll Make
- Prepare high-quality, nutritious meals that support resident health, safety, and satisfaction
- Follow established food safety standards, sanitation guidelines, and state and local food regulations
- Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold menu items in accordance with recipes, dietary needs, and portion standards
- Support specialized diet preparation including modified texture and therapeutic diets as needed
- Assist with food preparation and service for coffee shop operations, catering, and special events
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment, including equipment cleaning and workstation sanitation
- Monitor food quality, storage, and labeling to ensure safety and freshness standards are met
- Collaborate with dining team members to ensure efficient meal service and positive resident dining experiences
- Support a positive, team-focused environment while delivering excellent customer service to residents, families, and guests
Qualifications: Preferred:
- Culinary degree or certification (preferred but not required with equivalent experience).
- Background in nutrition or specialized diets (mechanical, pureed, low-sodium, diabetic diets etc.).
Helpful but not Required:
- Training or coursework related to nutrition, food safety, or therapeutic diets
- Knowledge of modified and specialized diets (mechanical soft, pureed, low sodium, diabetic, etc.)
Experience Required:
- 1-3 years of professional cooking or food service experience
- Experience in senior living, healthcare dining, hospitality, or high-volume food service environments
- Experience working in fast-paced kitchen environments while maintaining food quality, safety, and presentation standards
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Ability to read English and follow menus, dietary cards, and production sheets accurately
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
- Ability to work cooperatively in a team-oriented kitchen environment
- Knowledge of menu development and dietary accommodations, including allergies, restrictions, and resident preferences
- Ability to manage kitchen operations independently or work efficiently within a small team
- Strong understanding of food safety regulations and kitchen sanitation practices
- Demonstrated ability to consistently prepare high-quality meals with attention to presentation and detail
- Ability to plan, prep, and execute multiple meals daily while maintaining quality and timeliness
- Flexibility to adjust menus based on ingredient availability and resident needs
- Maintains a clean, organized, and hygienic workspace at all times
- Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage responsibilities with minimal supervision
- Effective delegation skills while fostering a positive team dynamic and collaborating with nursing and support staff
- Willingness to adjust schedule as needed to meet operational or resident needs
