Summary of Job Duties:The HCM & Finance Reporting & Automation Support position is responsible for providing Tier I technical and operational support to users through the university's enterprise service management and system office ticketing platforms. This role is part of the HCM & Finance Reporting & Automation team within Process Innovation.

The position focuses on managing and triaging support tickets, assisting with report and dashboard development, and supporting automation and data pipeline efforts related to HCM and Finance. The role also contributes to Knowledge Base documentation and provides general support for team initiatives related to reporting, security, and process optimization.

Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.

Key Responsibilities

* Respond to and triage incoming tickets in the university's enterprise service management and system office ticketing platforms, ensuring timely and accurate resolution or escalation

* Accurately document all support requests, updates, and resolutions to maintain consistency and transparency

* Assist in the development and maintenance of reports and dashboards supporting HCM and Finance functions

* Support testing, validation, and troubleshooting of reports and reporting tools

* Assist with building and maintaining data pipelines and automation processes related to reporting and security (e.g., data extracts, scheduled reports, integrations)

* Collaborate with central IT, system office teams, and functional areas to support reporting, security, and automation needs

* Create and update Knowledge Base articles and documentation for reports, processes, and common support needs

* Provide general assistance with special projects, including data cleanup, documentation, and operational support as assigned

* Maintain regular, reliable attendance and positive working relationships with team members and stakeholders Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Strong communication and customer service skills

  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

  • Attention to detail and willingness to learn technical and functional concepts

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with ticketing systems (such as TeamDynamix - TDX)

  • Interest or experience in reporting, data analysis, or automation

  • Experience with spreadsheets (e.g., Excel) or basic data tools

  • Familiarity with enterprise systems or willingness to learn (e.g., Workday)

  • Strong technical writing skills

  • Currently enrolled in or recently completed a program in computer science, information systems, business, Human Resources, Finance, or a related field (optional depending on your candidate pool)

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

  • Basic understanding of data concepts and willingness to learn reporting and automation tools

  • Ability to follow established procedures with attention to detail

  • Problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and escalate issues appropriately

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

  • Dependability and accountability in maintaining regular work schedules

  • Commitment to providing excellent customer service
