Job Purpose

The Analyst in Transmission Planning & Asset Management will provide support in Planning Governance & Quality Control, Asset & System Strategy, Regulatory, Rate Case & Audit Support.

Key Accountabilities

Planning Governance & Quality Control

  • Ensure consistency across FutureNow value models; serve as peer reviewer prior to approval
  • Perform Gate A and Sanction Paper QA/QC
  • Peer review EDIS requests and walkin documentation for accuracy and alignment
  • Maintain and apply interdepartmental standards
  • Review documents for CEII redactions

Asset & System Strategy Support

  • Support Asset Management Strategies, including master documents and planning inputs for:
  • Stations and transmission lines
  • 345 kV laminated cross arms
  • SF to vacuum breaker (GCB VCB) transitions

Regulatory, Rate Case & Audit Support

  • Support Rate Case activities with emphasis on:
  • Consistency and review of Project Data Sheets (PDS)
  • Serve as department point of contact for Internal Audits
  • Provide review and followup support for audit and compliance items

Portfolio, Budget & Work Management

  • Provide budget and portfolio tracking support, including followups
  • Oversee and manage PS&I work orders (WO#s); lead monthly tracking meetings
  • Track completion of Incident Analysis (IA) recommendations to closure

Leadership & Special Projects

  • Provide special project support, including:
  • Presentations and seniormanagement materials
  • Adhoc analytical and coordination support
  • Own department inputs to the monthly PRM deck

External Coordination & Analytics

  • Serve as primary EPRI and CEATI point of contact
  • Develop and maintain Power BI desktop dashboards and reports
  • Act as department lead for the Business Continuity Plan (BCP)
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree with a focus in engineering, data analytics, business analytics, or a related technical discipline is required.
  • At least 6 demonstrated experience in data management and analysis, with the ability to ensure accuracy, consistency, and traceability across complex data asset is required.
  • Experience developing or authoring content in software tools, dashboards, or structured analytical platforms is preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required. familiarity with Power BI or similar visualization tools is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of electric utility industry practices, including transmission planning, asset management, and relevant standards and regulatory requirements is preferred
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams, deadlines, and stakeholder needs simultaneously is required.
  • Effective communicator who adapts messaging to technical and non-technical audiences, ensuring clarity, consistency, and alignment.
  • Takes ownership and accountability by proactively identifying and resolving issues, clearly communicating expectations, and supporting successful project delivery.
  • Demonstrates a continuous-improvement mindset by challenging existing processes, identifying inefficiencies, and recommending practical, data-driven enhancements.
  • Brings a collaborative and positive team orientation, valuing diverse perspectives and contributing to a strong team culture.
  • Comfortable operating in a dynamic, evolving environment; receptive to change and willing to adjust perspectives based on new information or evidence.

Salary:
$102,000 - $120,000 per year
