Position Summary:
The Equipment Engineer will work with the Maintenance and Engineering teams. Assisting with the validation of new equipment and processes. Conducting equipment inspections, repairs and upgrades. Will work with Equipment Maintenance personnel to develop and maintain robust Continuous Improvement, Root Cause Analysis, and documentation processes. For all equipment repair and maintenance activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in Validation Engineering with validation of new equipment. Including:
  • Verifying that all components are present and undamaged
  • Check for correction installation, including proper mounting and connections
  • Confirm the proper power supply and utilities are available and connected.
  • Ensure the equipment is installed in the correct location with sufficient space.
  • Provide technical support and training to the Equipment Maintenance personnel as needed.
  • Testing equipment to identify and resolve malfunctions, inefficiencies, and other issues in mechanical systems.
  • Work closely with other departments, OEMs, and vendors to ensure equipment systems meet quality, cost, and delivery goals.
  • Maintaining accurate equipment documentation and records.
  • Work with Equipment Maintenance personnel on specifications and sourcing of mechanical and electrical components and assemblies.


Must Have:
  • Bachelor's degree in STEM program (mechanical engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field)
  • 1+ years of experience in equipment engineering or a related role
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve equipment issues
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical documentation.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a team
  • Proficiency in data analysis and statistical tools
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Technical knowledge of mechanical systems, pneumatics, hydraulics, and electrical controls
  • Flexibility for on-call support.
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English

Good to have:

  • Knowledge of automation and control systems
  • Familiarity with Six Sigma or other process improvement methodologies
  • Hands-on experience commissioning industrial equipment or automation lines.
  • Internship or co-op experience in a related engineering or manufacturing environment is helpful for entry-level candidates.

Salary Range: $75,000 to 88,000 based on skills and experience
