Job Summary We are looking for an entry-level Outside Plant (OSP) Technician to support basic cabling and infrastructure work connected to a data center. This role is well suited for someone who is comfortable doing hands-on work, working outdoors, and learning new skills on the job. No prior OSP or fiber experience is required-training will be provided. The ideal candidate is dependable, safetyminded, and willing to perform physical work while developing foundational knowledge of telecommunications and data center infrastructure. Key Responsibilities * Assist with basic installation and maintenance of fiber and copper cables * Help route, label, and organize cabling under direction from senior technicians * Perform simple inspections of conduits, handholes, and entry points * Support outdoor work related to cabling and infrastructure * Use basic tools and equipment safely and correctly * Follow written instructions, safety procedures, and work plans * Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with safety requirements * Accurately document completed work and observations * Work collaboratively with teammates and ask questions as needed Required Qualifications * High school diploma or equivalent * Comfortable performing physical work, including standing, bending, walking, and lifting * Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions * Ability to follow instructions and learn new tasks * Basic reliability skills (on time, communicates, completes assigned work) * Basic computer skills for simple documentation Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sandston, VA. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.00 - $23.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
