JOB DETAILS

Department: Finance and Accounting
FTE: 1.00 (80 hours per pay period)
Workdays: Monday - Friday
Shift(s): Days
Shift Length: 8 hours
Location: Remote *There may be rare occasions when we may ask staff to come in

Purpose of this Position: Under minimal supervision, partners with business leaders on financial issues related to their specific area of the organization.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Partners with all areas of organizational operations to provide financial stewardship & education and analytical support

  • Collects, analyzes, interprets, and presents data to operational management, financial staff, and senior leadership
  • Understands the operational and financial issues facing a particular area, and partners with leadership to identify strategies and affect change
  • Uses financial tools to model the impact of decisions (cost benefit, return on investment, and other business performance analysis)
  • Provides customer-service-focused financial service to assigned areas
  • Maintains, improves, and ownership of a key financial system or process
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, including finance and accounting coursework
  • 5+ years of experience in a financial analyst position
    -OR-
  • An approved equivalent combination of education and experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Finance or Business (MBA or CPA)
  • Previous healthcare experience and demonstrated knowledge of health care revenue streams, reimbursement, and payment methodologies

Knowledge/ Skills/ Abilities:

  • Expert knowledge of Excel, and experience in Word, Access (relational databases), PowerPoint, General Ledger systems, and other reporting tools
  • Detail and deadline oriented
  • Excellent accuracy in analysis and cost-benefit analysis
  • Ability to assist operational & senior leadership as to their business needs
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
