About the opportunity
In this role, you play a key role in ensuring smooth and compliant logistics operations at the Beverly site. You lead a small team of two while overseeing daily warehouse activities and controlling incoming and outgoing materials. By applying your strong knowledge of shipping requirements, freight carrier management, and ERP systems, you ensure accurate material flows, high service levels, and reliable reporting. Close collaboration with Supply Chain, Operations, Sales Support, and Materials Management allows you to contribute directly to efficient planning, inventory accuracy, and continuous improvement.
Your tasks include
  • Leading and supporting a warehouse team of two, including coaching, training, performance management, and day-to-day guidance
  • Managing inbound and outbound material flows, including domestic and international shipments, while ensuring compliance with shipping and cold chain requirements
  • Monitoring and controlling inventory on a daily basis using ERP systems, ensuring accuracy, traceability, and process adherence
  • Collaborating closely with Supply Chain, Operations, Sales Support, and the Materials Manager to support demand forecasts and master distribution planning
  • Conducting inventory investigations, cycle counts, and root-cause analyses to resolve discrepancies, complaints, or process deviations
  • Preparing reports and analyses related to materials, products, processes, people, environment, labor costs, and shipping costs
  • Driving continuous improvement by developing proposals to enhance efficiency, quality, service levels, and cost performance
Your profile
  • High School diploma or GED required
  • Bachelor's degree preferred in Business Management, Manufacturing, Logistics, Supply Chain, Purchasing, Operations Management, or International Trade Compliance
  • 2-4 years of shipping and receiving management experience, including at least 2 years in a biotech, life sciences, or perishable-goods environment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Prior leadership or supervisory experience, with the ability to motivate and develop team members
  • Hands-on experience with automated shipping systems and daily use of ERP systems
  • In-depth knowledge of cold chain supply management and international shipping and distribution
  • Strong computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Word and Excel, with the ability to analyze data and produce clear reports
  • Awareness of external influences such as legislation, fuel costs, and environmental considerations impacting logistics operations
The estimated base salary range for this position is $65,000-75,000. Compensation will be based on the candidate's experience, skills, geographic location, and other job-related factors. In addition to base salary, we offer a total compensation package that includes a commission plan, annual bonus, and generous benefits.
