Job Summary
The Project Cost Accountant is an analyst role in our Program Planning & Controls (PP&C) team supporting the project management team in controlling and analyzing project costs, reporting and modeling, and ensuring financial and delivery goals are met.

This position is part of a global teamusingearned valuemanagement tooperateprojects,evaluaterisks and opportunities,forecastcash and revenueforcomplex, large-scale projects in a dynamic environment.Specializingin running and enhancing reporting systems tofacilitatethe production of information, budgeting analysis, forecasting analysis, variance analysis, variance commentary, reporting and reviews, and presentation and project preparation.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support the operations teamfor projects; develop, forecast, and manage budget allocation, revenue and cash flow, and costs.
  • Serve as a key point of contact for internal stakeholders and ensuretimelyand clear communicationregardingproject status, risks, and changes.
  • Worksin accordance withearned value methodologies for revenue, cost, and schedule changes, baselines, and forecasts,developsWork Breakdown Structures (WBS), forecasts estimate to completion (ETC), and estimates at completion (EAC).
  • Help implement andmaintainaccountingprocesses and tools to manage project costs, schedules, and risks supporting compliance and continuous improvement.
  • Understand all cost,revenue, and cash mechanisms for aproject contract.
  • Create, update, and monitor billing and cost models for multiple programs.
  • SAP and other system tools are used for budgeting, forecasting, and project management.
  • Supports project operations team by monitoring and analyzing project costs,identifyingvariances, and working with the team to address them.
  • Participatein solving problems,evaluatingrisk mitigation strategies, andexecution plans alongside the operations team.
  • Supports the development and review of detailed integrated schedules in close collaboration with the technical leads and project managers.
  • Monitorsand analyzes Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable to ensure timelinessandaccuracy.
  • Prepares financialanalysesand reports for internal stakeholders and management review meetings.

Minimum Job Requirements

  • Four-year college degree, preferably in accounting OR equivalent years of experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Four (4)+years of relevant experience.
  • Strong financial skills are essential; ability to analyze and understand how costs are derived.
  • Ability to presentto various levels of the organization,includingexecutivesandoperationteams.
  • Cost accountingand SAP experience is a plus.
  • Good working knowledge of personal computers and spreadsheet applications isrequired.
  • Ability to prioritize, complete multiple tasks, and work under deadlines.
  • Adept analytic and numeric skills arerequired.

Cubic Pay Range:

$45.00 - $50.00 + benefits.

The Cubic pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
