Job Description




As a Security Officer Patrol Driver in Tucson, AZ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Security Officer in a retail location, where you will monitor activity, conduct routine patrols, and help to deter security-related incidents through a visible presence and strong customer service. This is a driving post, offering the opportunity to support daily operations across the location while using teamwork, integrity, and reliability to create a welcoming environment for guests and staff.

What You'll Do:

    Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and/or staff by following site-specific policies, monitoring activity throughout the location, and supporting security-related procedures.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or emergency services when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout the retail location, including common areas, entrances, exits, corridors, and perimeter areas, to help to deter unwanted activity.
  • Monitor access points, observe visitor and/or employee activity, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, and/or policy violations according to post instructions.
  • Support opening and closing activities, assist with crowd and/or traffic flow during busy periods, and document routine patrols, incidents, and/or noteworthy observations in required reports.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required.
  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
