Job Description




As a Security Officer Patrol Documentation Specialist in Chicago, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a commercial real estate location, where you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support access control needs. This role offers the chance to provide outstanding customer service and communication while working with a team that values agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity.

What You'll Do:

    Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and property staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and communicating with property management and/or emergency services as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout building common areas, entry points, loading areas, parking facilities, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and building activity, assisting with visitor processing, policy compliance, and reporting of maintenance concerns, hazards, and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Prepare accurate reports of daily activities, incidents, and observations, and support Allied Universal and property leadership with security-related information and follow-up as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
