Who we are looking for:

We are currently searching for an assembler to be based out of the New Bedford, MA, Duchaine Facility. Reporting to the Value Stream Leader. The assembler will be responsible for assembling and wire testing components.

What you will do:

The Assembler will perform repetitive workstation or assembly line operations to mass-produce components or to assemble those components into a completed product. Additionally, will be wire testing the components to ensure the assembly has been completed correctly.




  • Perform any assembly-type functions, using hand or power tools
  • Operate chop saw, cutting flexible metal conduit to specified lengths
  • Pull multiple lengths of electrical copper wire through the conduit
  • Cut & strip wire using manual hand tools
  • Crimp electrical contact onto wire ends using a hand tool or an automated crimp machine
  • Perform close-in assembly work in the manufacture of connector assemblies
  • Operate any equipment needed to perform the job
  • Report any quality control issues to the supervisor
  • Work in an individual or team environment
  • Perform related duties as needed by supervision
  • Regularly required to stand for long periods of time
  • Regularly lift and/or move up to 20 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 30 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
  • Frequently required to handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls
  • Frequently required to walk, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, and talk or hear
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus


What you will bring:



  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • 1 years Assembly, Machine Operator, and/or manufacturing experience
  • Ability to understand and follow instructions
  • Ability to read and understand basic electrical schematic diagrams
  • Ability to follow written, verbal, JDE work orders, Drawings
  • Maintain 5 S Housekeeping
  • Fill out the daily sheets properly with part numbers and job names.
  • Good attendance and strong work ethic required.
  • Pay attention to detail
  • Maintain a clean & safe environment

    As of the date of this posting, a good-faith estimate of the current pay for this position is $19.26. Placement in the range depends on several factors, including, but not limited to, specific competencies, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, relevant experience, skills, seniority, performance, shift, travel requirements, and business or organizational needs, and may change over time. Other compensation may include, but is not limited to, overtime, shift differentials, bonuses, commissions, stock, and other incentives.
