Collect, identify, review and analyze workforce data to determine operational efficiency and trends in order to formulate plans to further the current and future operational goals of the business. Research internal processes and capabilities to improve the effectiveness of the business and/or services and react effectively to real-time and planned business needs with latitude for discretion. Provide guidance and advice to management on the most efficient use of workforce resources to obtain positive and measurable results. Perform moderately complex workforce management functions under supervision. The ideal candidate is conscientious, organized, proactive, a team player, and able to navigate ambiguity in a fast-paced environment with a high learning agility and the desire to combine theory and best practices with practical, hands-on experience. Responsibilities
- To support the Enterprise Technology Services (ETS) Talent Development and Communication (TD&C) team with Strategic Workforce Planning initiatives, including Active Position Management (APM), Human Capital Strategy, Job Rotations/Shadow programs, and other workforce development efforts.
- Utilize Technology Resource Management systems, including Active Position Management (APM), to provide strategic support for both FTE and contingent labor. This includes creating and maintaining resources, and partnering with stakeholders to assess, identify, and align individuals and skillsets to critical roles.
- Partner with the Talent Acquisition team to recruit top talent to build optimal talent pipeline.
- Partner with ETS leaders and workforce optimization team to address critical workforce needs through data analysis, insight development, and clear, actionable presentations.
- Collect, identify, review and analyze workforce data to determine current status, historical trends, critical positions, high-growth areas, and efficiency of operations.
- Obtain quantitative and qualitative workforce data to analyze, determine, and promote data driven decisions.
- Conduct impact analyses to make effective recommendations based on various staffing requests, schedule changes, and/or budget considerations.
- Support ETS Job Shadow and Job Rotation programs through host team coordination, tracking ongoing shadow and rotation activities, and analyzing outcomes to promote cross functional skill development.
- Serve on teams and task groups for projects/initiatives within the business unit &/or across the organization.
- Provide guidance and advice to leadership on the most effective and efficient use of the workforce to obtain measurable business improvements.
- Analyze existing workflows and develop, recommend, and document adjustments to streamline processes.
- Partner in the implementation of new and enhanced processes to improve workforce management effectiveness.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Human Resources, or the equivalent combination of training, education, and experience
- Familiarity with Human Resources, Strategic Workforce Planning, Industrial Organizational Psychology or similar
- Exposure to workforce management projects and/or initiatives
- Demonstrated expertise in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel, with the ability to synthesize complex information/data into clear, concise, executive-ready presentations and report-outs.
- Exposure to responding effectively to highly sensitive, complex and/or urgent member/customer requests.
- Exposure to applications and systems analysis, including reviewing workflows and procedures, documenting observations, and learning how to follow established processes while supporting continuous improvement efforts.
- Ability to navigate ambiguity, adapt to evolving priorities, and make progress in situations where information, direction, or processes may still be taking shape.
- Strong ability to work independently and work effectively in a team environment.
- Demonstrated ability to organize, plan, and manage time effectively, with practical research, analytical, and problem solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to exercise initiative and good judgment to make sound decisions, while maintaining accuracy, attention to detail, and meeting deadlines.
- Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of an organization.
- Basic analytical thinking skills to include summarizing information and clearly identifying key elements, patterns, results or relationships.
