Your Job

As a Project Manager for First Time Build (FTB) at Molex Aerospace & Defense Solutions (ADS), you are responsible for leading cross functional execution of New Business Opportunities (NBO) and New Product Introduction (NPI) projects from concept handoff through Start of Production (SOP). You will drive execution discipline, coordinate internal stakeholders, and ensure products are launched on schedule with the required quality, compliance, and operational readiness in a regulated aerospace and defense environment.

What You Will Do

  • Develop and maintain project schedules, timelines, and work plans using standard PMO tools and waterfall methodologies.
  • Coordinate cross functional execution across Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Commercial teams.
  • Define, track, and manage project milestones, deliverables, dependencies, and the critical path.
  • Proactively identify schedule, technical, supply, and quality risks, and drive effective mitigation actions.
  • Facilitate cross functional project meetings, execution checkpoints, and internal reviews.
  • Manage changes impacting scope, cost, schedule, or technical requirements in accordance with established processes.
  • Escalate issues requiring prioritization, resources, or leadership decisions to protect customer and program commitments.
  • Provide regular project status updates and maintain visibility to overall project health, risks, and key decisions.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Operations, Manufacturing, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of project management experience in an engineering, manufacturing, or operations environment.
  • Experience leading New Product Introduction (NPI) or first time build projects.
  • Experience coordinating execution across engineering, operations, quality, and supply chain functions.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects involving multiple stakeholders and aggressive deadlines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience presenting to internal stakeholders.
  • Comfortable operating in ambiguous, fast paced, and changing environments.
  • Ability to support global teams and participate in meetings outside standard business hours as needed.
  • Ability to work within applicable aerospace and defense regulatory, quality, and customer requirements.

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Experience leading cross functional teams in a matrixed aerospace or defense organization.
  • Previous experience in an engineering or technical role.
  • PMP certification or formal project management training.
  • Experience with Glovia or similar ERP/MRP systems.
  • Understanding of electromechanical components, manufacturing processes, and product qualification activities.
  • Experience tracking customer orders and managing engineering or production changes.
  • Working knowledge of supply chain fundamentals, including BOM structures, manufacturing capacity, and logistics.
  • Familiarity with aerospace and defense standards and requirements, such as AS9100, ITAR, FAR/DFARS, and customer flow downs.
