Who we are looking for:

Cornerstone Home Lending is seeking an experienced Treasury Funder to join our team in Houston, TX! The Treasury Funder will have principal day to day responsibility for handling the company's daily warehouse loan transactions.

Key Responsibilities:




  • Process wire requests, returns, re-banks, and transmittal of loan documents through assigned warehouse banks.
  • Process loan purchase notifications and deliver related paydown requests to the company's warehouse banks.
  • Create related journal entries daily and will be assigned a number of General Ledger accounts to download and reconcile with banks statements.
  • Provide backup support for the settlement process.
  • Maintain, save, and distribute bank reports.
  • Support, in any respect, the company's goal of funding customer mortgage loans on time.
  • Export wire Requests
  • Save loan docs & lock commitment
  • Match information per export/documents/lock
  • Upload to warehouse bank(s)
  • Send saved loan documents/lock to bank
  • Send email batch wire communication to bank
  • Follow up email communication regarding request
  • Receive/process purchase advices from Operations
  • Pull wires details from reports from Warehouse Banks
  • Upload paydown to banks
  • Prepare Journal Daily Entry
  • Upload in GL system
  • Image entry
  • Prepared assigned reports
  • Reconcile with bank balance and other GL accounts and bank statements as assigned



What you'll need to be successful:




  • Associate Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Business is required. Bachelor Degree in one of the Accounting related disciplines is preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience working in a Treasury Department, preferably within the mortgage industry
  • Minimum 2 years of experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
  • High degree of personal ethics/integrity
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Effective communication skills
  • Must be able to recognize inefficiencies and recommend/implement process/quality improvement initiatives
