Location: 75% travel between sites in Cuyahoga County, homesite - 2235 E. 55th St. Cleveland, OH 44103
Employment Status: Full time, Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm
FLSA Status: Exempt


VGS is excited about the continued expansion of our new program, Customized Community Engagement & Employment. This program is designed for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities that creates opportunities to participate in programming that is 100% in the community. The program and its Coaches provide assistance with employment skills, socialization and activity based programming or a combination of both based on the needs and interests of the individuals. We are hiring Community Engagement & Employment Supervisor that will oversee Coaches who work with small cohorts.


The Supervisor will actively market program services, develop community activities, volunteer opportunities and potentially career exploration opportunities and develop the monthly calendar for each group. They will supervise the Coaches and ensure that programming is meeting expectations. Responsible for all aspects of supervision of staff. RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Actively market program services and program participants to the business community. Establish and maintain professional relationships with local employers.


  • Develop employment and volunteer opportunities for individuals into appropriate employment conducive with their vocational goals, experience, qualifications and interests.


  • Keep in close contact with the Associate Director of Vocational Services, Placement Service Team, Sales Team and community-based partnerships to ensure that rapid engagement is a priority, and all opportunities are fully explored. Provide feedback regarding employment opportunities, labor market trends, employer attitudes, etc., necessary for vocational planning.


  • Recruit fee-sponsored participants from OOD and local County Board Support Administrators for services by providing informational sessions, attending vendor fairs, provider fairs, and direct marketing.


  • Responsible for the administrative supervision of CCEE including but not limited to NMT and coordinating tours and care schedules.


  • Assist with developing, implementing and adjusting weekly schedules to account for unknowns and disruptions. This may include transportation changes, participants not showing up, medical appointments, activity cancellations, behaviors, etc.


  • Assist as needed to develop and implement programming designed to increase daily living skills, personal and social adjustment, and vocational behaviors and skills.


  • Ensure appropriate coverage for all CCEE cohorts and ensure that ratio is maintained.


  • Coach and assist CCEE Coaches with developing, designing, implementing and revising individual service plans including long and short-term goals.


  • Assist CCEE Coaches to ensure individuals meet/exceed ISP goals and participate in the annual Individual planning/meeting process.


  • Ensure all required documentation is completed by the individual's plan, VGS policies, procedures and oversight agencies is completed and filed as appropriate. This includes monthly reports, individual plans and documentation, program evaluation forms, detailed and accurate case notes.


  • Participate in department Program Evaluation and Outcome Measurement activities.


  • Assist the Billing Specialists as needed which includes calling referral sources, correcting any invoices and providing information to the Finance Department in a timely manner.


  • Ensure and advocate for the rights of the individual and recognizes and respects individual differences and preferences.


  • Complete supervisory responsibilities of the team including interviewing, hiring, payroll, training, performance reviews, disciplinary, and termination of team members. Schedule regular team meetings for all team members to attend.

  • Act as a backup for Coaches as needed.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS



  • Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field preferred; and five to seven years related experience and/or training.
  • A flexible mindset and ability to adjust to regularly changing schedules is required.
  • Ability to solve problems independently.
  • Creative thinking is needed to develop community programming and daily schedules for each participant under their supervision.
  • Reliable transportation, active driver's license and current insurance are required.
  • Dedicated to the success of the program and success of the individual's participation and ability to handle successes and setbacks during development of a new program.
  • Must be comfortable making social and employment connections in the community.
  • Must be willing to learn and use technology such as cell phones, smart phone apps, photos, videos, laptops, adaptive technology, case management database and multiple software programs.
  • Skilled in using Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, Excel and Teams is required.
