Description Schedule surgical procedures in accordance with physician orders, facility availability, and patient needs Coordinate operating room availability, surgeon schedules, anesthesia, and required surgical equipment Communicate procedure details, instructions, and scheduling information to patients and clinical staff Verify insurance coverage and obtain prior authorizations as required Ensure all required documentation, consents, and pre-operative testing are completed prior to surgery Maintain accurate scheduling records in electronic medical record (EMR) systems Adjust schedules as needed due to emergencies, cancellations, or changes in provider availability Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure smooth surgical workflow Provide excellent customer service while handling sensitive and confidential patient information Adhere to HIPAA, regulatory, and organizational policies and procedures Skills Patient service, Customer service, surgery schedule, inbound calls, appointment schedule, surgical scheduling, medical, health care, Customer service call center, EPIC Top Skills Details Patient service,Customer service,surgery schedule,inbound calls,appointment schedule,surgical scheduling Additional Skills & Qualifications 2 or more years of experience in a customer service or healthcare/medical office environment. Previous scheduling experience. Experience with Epic. HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA Must possess excellent mathematical skills and ability to handle monies. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Strong organizational and analytical skills; innovative with ability to identify and solve problems. Able to adapt, prioritize and meet deadlines. Knowledge of medical terminology, commercial and government health insurance and billing guidelines, ACA requirements, understanding of DRG's, Medical ICD9/ICD10 codes and CPT/HCPC Codes and Modifiers are required. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Oceanside, CA. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.00 - $28.00/hr.
