*Job Title: Member Service Representative - Contact Center (Remote)*
*Job Description*The Member Service Representative supports a 24/7, high-volume, schedule-driven contact center by responding to inbound and outbound member calls and other inquiries. In this role, you provide accurate information about financial products and services, perform account transactions, and ensure an exceptional member experience through active listening, strong customer service, and effective use of multiple systems in a structured environment. *Responsibilities* * Respond promptly and professionally to inquiries and requests from members and other individuals in a high-volume contact center environment. * Handle back-to-back inbound phone calls for the majority of each shift, providing consistent and courteous service. * Provide clear and accurate information regarding products and services, including savings, checking, consumer loans, credit cards, IRAs, and other account types. * Perform transactions and related functions for various account types while following established procedures and policies. * Demonstrate active listening skills to understand member needs and provide appropriate solutions or guidance. * Advise members on additional products and services that may meet their financial needs and support positive member interactions. * Use multiple computer systems and tools simultaneously to research, document, and complete member requests efficiently. * Follow all policy and compliance requirements while handling member information and completing transactions. * Work effectively within a schedule-driven and structured environment, adhering to assigned shifts, breaks, and meal periods. * Maintain a high level of professionalism and customer focus during extended periods of continuous call handling. * Adapt to varying shift start and end times within a defined window while maintaining required daily availability. * Support the contact center's 24/7/365 operation by working assigned shifts that may include days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed. *Essential Skills* * Proven customer service experience in a professional, structured, or high-volume environment. * Experience handling inbound and outbound calls in a call center or similar setting. * Strong data entry skills with the ability to accurately input and update information while on calls. * Ability to work effectively in a very structured, schedule-driven, and policy-compliant environment. * Comfort working with high call volumes and back-to-back phone calls for extended periods. * Excellent verbal communication and active listening skills to understand and address member needs. * Ability to navigate and adapt to multiple computer systems and applications simultaneously. * Strong attention to detail and accuracy when performing transactions and following procedures. * Professional demeanor and reliability in adhering to scheduled shifts, breaks, and operational expectations. *Additional Skills & Qualifications* * Background in call center, administrative, secretary/receptionist, banking or mortgage, professional office environment, or high-volume retail environment. * Familiarity with financial products such as savings accounts, checking accounts, consumer loans, credit cards, and IRAs is helpful. * Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, member-focused contact center environment. * Comfort discussing financial products and services and identifying opportunities to meet member needs. *Why Work Here?*Join a mission-driven organization that serves the financial needs of military members and their families around the world. The contact center operates 24/7/365 to support members worldwide, so shifts may include days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays. The environment is highly structured and schedule-driven, with breaks and meals taken at scheduled times. Most shifts are flexible, meaning your start and end times can vary within a one-hour window, and you must maintain 9.5 hours of daily availability to accommodate this variation. You will handle back-to-back phone calls for the majority of your shift and may take calls for up to four hours before your next break, using multiple computer systems and tools throughout the day in a professional, policy-compliant setting. *Job Type & Location* This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Strasburg, VA. *Pay and Benefits*The pay range for this position is $19.50 - $19.50/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
