Description The SAP Consultant I serves as a subject matter expert supporting business and manufacturing processes through SAP solutions. This role partners closely with business stakeholders, IT teams, and service providers to analyze requirements, configure SAP systems, and improve operational efficiency across industrial environments. 1. SAP Functional / Technical Fundamentals Understands core SAP concepts for the module Explains endtoend manufacturing business processes (not just Tcodes) Strong grasp of key master data objects Can explain data flow and dependencies Knows common SAP tables relevant to the module 2. ModuleSpecific Depth (check all demonstrated) Configuration knowledge (when & why, not memorized steps) Transactional flow & controls Organizational structure handling (plants, storage locations, company codes, etc.) Integration points with other SAP modules and MES/L2 systems Clear understanding of S/4HANA vs ECC differences (if applicable)Module(s): PP MM PM EWM FICO BASIS ABAP Other: ___________ 3. Troubleshooting & Incident Handling (Critical) Uses structured, logical problemsolving approach Identifies likely root causes before jumping to fixes Knows where to check errors (logs, dumps, queues, messages) Can explain typical production issues and resolutions Comfortable supporting live production environments Skills Sap, Plant Maintenance, PP, MM Top Skills Details Sap, Plant Maintenance, PP, MM Additional Skills & Qualifications * Serve as a subject matter expert working with business processes peers solving problems, and advising on various business-related issues * Analyze, gather requirements, design business processes, define functional specifications, and configure solutions to improve efficiency and reduce costs * Analyze, evaluate, design, and configure new computer software and systems * Configure, develop, and implement SAP systems, and smoothly integrate SAP applications with existing IT business solutions * Provide SAP system support, end-user training, and document SAP processes * Participate in projects as an SAP expert * Keep abreast of the latest SAP offerings, updates, and developments * Work with Digital IT service providers to provide support to users, to deliver applications enhancements and on project activities * Customer-Centric - Focus efforts to ensure internal and external customers thrive * Technical Expertise - Understand all IT functions, cloud technologies, and services in use, and become familiar with the current direction in the infrastructure market * Simplistic Agility - Foster simplicity and agility to focus on what adds value while resolving issues * Accountability - Take initiative and assume personal accountability and ownership for goals, outcomes, and deadlines holding others accountable for achieving individual and organizational objectives.
