What will be expected of our Interns?

As an intern at ENERCON, you'll support realworld projects while learning how engineering and security work is applied in practice. You'll be expected to stay organized, manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and bring a positive, curious mindset as you collaborate with experienced team members. The role involves learning industry standards and processes, adapting to new tools and systems, asking questions, and applying classroom knowledge to handson work, all while contributing to projects that support safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

What are skills that would be helpful to your success as an intern?

• Graduating with a bachelor's or master's degree from an ABET- accredited school in one of our listed preferred majors.
• Preferred grad date between December 2026 and May/June 2027.
• Available to start in May 2026.
• Preferred Courses: Thermodynamics, Fluid Mechanics, Heat Transfer, and Statics.
• A solid working foundation with your major's core concepts.
• Proficient in Microsoft Suite.
• Excellent writing, presentation, and communication skills.
• Ability to be an individual contributor and work effectively in teams.
• Ability to effectively problem solve.
• Must be able to climb stairs and ladders at client sites.
• Must be able to effectively navigate client sites to conduct walkdowns.
• Must be able to work outside.
• Ability and willingness to travel for client and company projects and/or meetings.

Interview and Employment Requirements:

• Completion of pre interview assessments.
• College transcript submitted for anyone under 1 year of experience post-graduation.
• Ability to pass pre-employment and random drug and alcohol screenings, ENERCON and client-specific background checks, and annual motor vehicle record (MVR) checks according to company and client policies.
