GENERAL JOB SUMMARY The Program Manager Logistics is responsible for the end?to?end execution of assigned customer programs, with a focus on Government Sustainment Contracts, service return activities, and logistics performance. This role ensures cost, schedule, technical, quality, and logistics commitments are met in alignment with contractual requirements and internal operating discipline. Serving as the single accountable owner for program execution, the Program Manager leads cross?functional coordination across Engineering, Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, Logistics, and Finance to deliver predictable outcomes, maintain customer satisfaction, and ensure compliance with regulatory and export?controlled requirements. This position reports to the VP of Programs and operates within the established PM governance model, ensuring transparency, disciplined risk management, and timely escalation when performance deviates from plan. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Program Execution & Ownership
- Own execution of assigned programs from contract award through delivery, sustainment, service return, and closeout.
- Serve as the primary point of accountability for scope, schedule, cost, logistics performance, and technical execution.
- Translate customer requirements and contractual obligations into executable program and logistics plans.
- Ensure all program and logistics commitments are clearly defined, tracked, and delivered.
- Ensure all logistics activities and deliveries comply with contract requirements.
Schedule, Scope & Change Control
- Develop and maintain Integrated Master Schedules (IMS).
- Ensure schedule logic, dependencies, and milestones are accurate and executable.
- Own program?level scope control and change management.
- Assess and communicate impacts of scope, schedule, engineering, and logistics changes.
- Support short? and long?range planning for logistics and sustainment programs.
Cross?Functional Integration
- Lead coordination across Engineering, Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, Logistics, and Finance.
- Ensure engineering maturity, manufacturing readiness, logistics readiness, and quality compliance align to program milestones.
- Resolve execution conflicts and constraints impacting delivery or sustainment.
- Reinforce clear ownership and accountability across functional teams.
- Assist with coordinating cross?departmental efforts to meet all logistics and service return requirements.
Risk Management & Issue Resolution
- Identify, assess, and manage program and logistics risks and issues.
- Develop and execute mitigation and recovery plans.
- Escalate risks and issues in accordance with Micro Systems (MSI) governance.
- Ensure corrective actions are clearly owned, tracked, and closed.
- Keep management informed of issues, risks, and accomplishments related to assigned programs.
Financial & Cost Management
- Partner with Cost Analysts to manage program cost, margin, and financial risk.
- Track Estimate?at?Completion (EAC), forecasts, and cost performance.
- Ensure financial impacts of program decisions and changes are visible and governed.
- Support trade studies and decision?making involving cost, schedule, scope, and logistics impacts.
Customer Interface & Communication
- Serve as the primary customer interface for assigned programs, including sustainment and service return activities.
- Lead customer reviews, milestone meetings, logistics performance discussions, and status reporting.
- Assist with communication and coordination between customers, suppliers, and internal teams.
- Ensure clear, accurate, and professional communication with customers.
- Protect company credibility by managing commitments and expectations.
Reporting, Metrics & Operating Rhythm
- Provide accurate program status, logistics metrics, and reporting in accordance with MSI cadence.
- Support Weekly Program Reviews, Monthly Operating Reviews (MORs), and executive updates.
- Prepare and distribute logistics and program status reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure program data is accurate, current, and aligned across systems.
- Maintain transparency of program health to leadership.
Compliance & Governance
- Ensure program execution complies with AS9100D, contractual requirements, and internal procedures.
- Support audits, customer reviews, and compliance activities.
- Ensure adherence to ITAR, export controls, and data?handling requirements.
- Maintain sensitive and confidential information in accordance with government standards.
- Reinforce disciplined execution aligned to MSI standards.
OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS
- Work independently with minimal supervision.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Must be at assigned worksite during assigned hours 100% of the time, excluding PTO and approved leave.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY
- No direct people management responsibility unless otherwise assigned.
- Leads cross?functional teams through influence and accountability.
- Coordinates Program Analysts, Logistics personnel, and functional contributors as part of program execution.

Required Experience:
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES Required
- Strong program and project management experience in complex, cross?functional environments.
- Ability to integrate engineering, operations, quality, supply chain, logistics, and finance considerations.
- Strong understanding of schedule management, risk management, and execution discipline.
- Ability to clearly present information, program updates, and logistics data to management and customers.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and decision?making skills.
- Ability to maintain sensitive and export?controlled information (ITAR).
- Ability to interact effectively with peers, supervisors, customers, and suppliers.
- Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint; MS Project preferred.
Preferred
- Experience in aerospace, defense, sustainment, or regulated manufacturing environments.
- Familiarity with EVMS, APQP, logistics frameworks, or structured program lifecycle methodologies.
- PMP or equivalent certification.
- Experience supporting government or defense customers.
- Familiarity with DoD standards, AS9100, or ISO9000.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE Required
- Bacheloris degree in Engineering, Business, Logistics, Operations, or related discipline.
- Experience in program or project management, military logistics, or cross?functional operations.
- Demonstrated experience leading programs with cost, schedule, technical, and logistics complexity.
Preferred
- Masteris degree in Engineering, Business, Logistics, or Program Management.
- Experience with government sustainment programs or service return operations.
WORK ENVIRONMENT / PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Office and manufacturing environments.
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
- Ability to perform repetitive motions (keyboard, phone use).
- May require extended hours during critical program milestones or recovery efforts.
- Occasional domestic or international travel to customer or supplier sites.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
- 0i25% as required to support programs, customers, suppliers, or sustainment activities.
