Security Officer - Patrol Unit

As a Security Officer - Patrol Unit in Austin, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer in a dynamic retail location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming experience through strong customer service and communication. In this role, you will contribute with agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity while putting people first each day.

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a retail location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while documenting relevant details and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout the sales floor, entrances, exits, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity.
• Monitor for unusual behavior, policy violations, and/or potential hazards, and report concerns to site leadership according to post instructions.
• Assist with access control, visitor interactions, and/or general support functions that help maintain an orderly environment for customers and staff.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
