The Opportunity

The successful applicant will drive TC Energy's commercial operations and customer service excellence by leading a business processes team. You'll ensure seamless collaboration across internal business units, external customers, and IT resources to design, implement, and maintain cutting-edge nomination, scheduling, invoicing, contracting, gas allocations, gas accounting and electronic bulletin board systems that meet today's dynamic natural gas market demands.

What you'll do

  • Provide technical and business process leadership for all supported systems and customer interfaces
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to analyze business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements, coordinate system, user, and requirements acceptance testing
  • Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of business processes for allocations and invoicing across all TC Energy US natural gas pipeline assets
  • Serve as a strategic thinker with vision for system design solutions; demonstrate strong working knowledge of contracts, nominations, scheduling, allocations, invoicing and accounting functions
  • Work independently with minimal direction while providing insights into cross-functional teams across Gas Control, Measurement, Accounting, Contracts, Nominations, and Scheduling units
  • Act as liaison between Commercial Services and IT to resolve issues and provide technical direction
  • Partner with Commercial Leaders on team-leading initiatives, including internal and external training development and delivery

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Business Analysis, Computer Science, Accounting, or related field
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant industry experience
  • Strong analytical and technical skills
  • Thorough understanding of North American energy markets, company tariffs, gas physical flow, customer base, 24/7/365 service obligations, NAESB standards, and FERC regulations
  • Ability to lead commercial initiatives by coordinating resources across business groups, facilitating requirements definition, communicating specifications to IT, and managing projects through implementation
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective working relationships across departments
  • Exceptional customer service skills (internal and external)
  • Results-oriented with strong expertise in team facilitation, collaboration, negotiation, process mapping, problem-solving, stakeholder management, and project management
  • Advanced facilitation skills with ability to lead efficient meetings and gather critical information for decision-making
  • Proven project management capabilities including needs assessment, planning, and execution
  • Professional communication and relationship management across all stakeholder groups
  • Excellent written and oral presentation skills; ability to design and deliver training to diverse audiences
  • Demonstrated self-sufficiency, self-motivation, and technical proficiency across multiple functions
  • Ability to remain calm, focused, and effective under high-pressure circumstances
  • Strong capability to manage multiple concurrent projects with competing priorities
  • Active listening and observation skills with ability to translate knowledge into appropriate action
  • Strong ability to query and manipulate data from databases in support of tariff files, data requests and commercial support

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Microsoft Power tools primarily Power BI for reporting and data visualization
  • Proficiency in SQL is highly desired

Working Conditions

  • Office environment is an open-floor concept
  • Must be able to work from home in a quiet environment and without distraction
  • Must have a reliable internet service provider
  • This role supports time-sensitive pipeline operations, and work hours may vary to meet operational demands, including occasional evenings and weekends
  • Additional hours are required during peak periods, critical operational events, or system activities, sometimes with little notice
  • Tasks often on fixed and tight deadlines for multiple, often simultaneous, projects
