Job Summary:

Position is based out of Boise, ID, but will require extensive travel throughout the region to include MT, WY, ID, and UT.

Position reports to the Regional Sustainability Coordinator.

Purpose:

Assist the Regional Sustainability Coordinator with collecting, maintaining, and organizing regulatory and sustainability data; updating site operations databases; and supporting daily environmental and siterelated procedures and activities throughout the Mountain Region.

Minimum Qualifications:



  1. Currently enrolled in a BA/BS program in Environmental Science, Sustainability Science, or a related field.
  2. Ability to provide and maintain a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  3. Willingness and ability to travel 50% or more of the time (Road Warrior).
  4. Experience with SmartSheet or similar project management/tracking tools is beneficial but not required.



Duties and Responsibilities

Assists with:



  • Assist with tracking permits, renewals, and compliance requirements.
  • Maintain organized records, maps, and data related to Conditional Use Permits (CUPs), land use, and site restoration activities.
  • Update site, lease, bond, and landowner information in internal databases.
  • Support environmental, regulatory, and sustainability compliance efforts by collecting and organizing data.
  • Assist with monitoring sustainability programs and tracking data for internal reporting and external recognition or award opportunities.
  • Help research sustainability certifications and award programs and maintain application timelines.
  • Respond to basic public or agency inquiries and assist with meeting preparation or notetaking as needed.
  • Always working safely and taking action to prevent all unsafe actions, processes, and behaviors.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.

  • Ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with regulatory agencies and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to identify areas for improvement and assist with implementing practices that support company goals and environmental commitments.
  • Proficiency with computers and standard office software, along with strong verbal and written communication skills; comfort with presentations or public interaction.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
  • Willingness and ability to travel within the operating division as needed.
