A Taste of What You'll Do As a Product Development professional within Cal Color, you'll play a critical role in advancing innovative food and beverage color solutions that meet evolving customer and market needs. This role blends hands-on laboratory work with cross-functional collaboration, allowing you to contribute to the planning, execution, and commercialization of new products and experimental blends. You'll work closely with sales, marketing, research, and operations partners to translate technical insight into meaningful product improvements and customer value. In this role, you'll stay current with scientific and industry advancements, applying new ideas to enhance processes, products, and analytical methods. You'll generate and interpret technical data that supports product features and benefits, while continuously developing your technical expertise and problem-solving capabilities. Your work will directly support customers and strategic partners through research assistance, technical guidance, and effective communication. You'll also contribute to a safe, organized, and efficient laboratory environment, conducting experiments using a range of analytical and pilot-scale equipment. Collaboration is key, as you'll participate in interdepartmental planning, mentor less experienced team members, and actively support continuous improvement initiatives.
