NOTE: This posting will close on APRIL 26, 2026 or after 25 applications are received, whichever occurs first.

Join a team where you can truly impact public safety and customer service as a Driver License Examiner Assistant. In this role, you will be the welcoming face at the Driver License Center, guiding customers through essential licensing services while also playing a vital role in preventing identity theft and fraud by carefully reviewing documents. If you have an eye for detail, enjoy interacting with people, and want a job that contributes to safer roads and stronger communities, this is an opportunity worth pursuing.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this position, you will work at a Driver License Center, assisting customers with the application and update processes for their driver's licenses or IDs. You will also conduct vision tests and administer written knowledge exams to confirm that applicants are familiar with driving regulations and traffic signs. Additionally, you will respond to customer inquiries and provide the necessary forms, brochures, and instructions tailored to each individual's situation.

It is essential to have a solid understanding of various services, such as REAL ID, license renewals, duplicates, out-of-state transfers, motorcycle licenses, and commercial driver's licenses. You will be responsible for entering test results, preparing letters for restoration requirements, and ensuring that fee waivers are properly documented. The role also involves adhering to customer service policies, REAL ID regulations, and Title VI requirements, as well as issuing and scanning special forms for non-U.S. citizens. Ultimately, your goal is to deliver accurate, efficient, and respectful service to all customers.
