YOUR IMPACT

OpenText On Demand Messaging is seeking an Account Executive reporting to the Senior Manager, Sales. This individual will be responsible for driving new business growth and achieving quota by selling ODM products and services into the Mid-Market segment and Healthcare industry. The Account Executive will also be responsible for maintaining key sales metrics, including pipeline coverage, forecasting accuracy, Salesforce hygiene, and other corporate administrative objectives.

WHAT THE ROLE OFFERS

  • Prospect and acquire new accounts within the Mid-Market segment and Healthcare industry, while expanding existing OpenText customers into cloud and hybrid solutions.
  • Develop and execute territory plans designed to exceed MCV goals.
  • Manage an annual quota of $1.4M.
  • Build and maintain a target account list and leverage internal resources to identify and close strategic opportunities.
  • Deliver accurate forecasting and negotiate contracts and pricing agreements.
  • Maintain a sales pipeline that meets or exceeds the corporate standard of 3x quota coverage.
  • Utilize and update Salesforce consistently, ensuring data accuracy and timely reporting.
  • Collaborate effectively across internal teams to drive customer success and revenue growth.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

  • Proven success in proactive, outbound new business sales, ideally within the cloud services space.
  • Self-starter mentality with the ability to work independently in a matrixed organization.
  • Strong ability to build, manage, and advance a large pipeline of opportunities.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Positive, adaptable, and results-oriented mindset.
  • Strong problem-solving, forecasting, and organizational skills.
  • Comfortable discussing both technical and contractual matters with customers.
  • Minimum of 3 years of successful new business sales experience with a history of achieving or exceeding quota.

Compensation: At OpenText, we offer a thoughtfully designed benefits package that supports your physical, emotional, and financial wellbeing. As you move through the hiring process, we're happy to provide more details about our compensation programs, including variable and commission compensation opportunities for eligible roles, vacation entitlement, and paid time off.

Salary Range: $82,000-$100,000 + variable; Depending on the candidate's education, experience, skills, geographical location, and alignment with internal equity and external market, actual salary may vary and be higher or lower than the range posted.

California Residents: The pay range above is a reasonable estimate of salary based on pay scale, candidate experience, skills, and education. In addition to the comprehensive benefits noted above, the role may be eligible for bonus or commissions.
