Credit & Risk Leadership Role - $90,000 - $120,000

A well established organization is seeking an experienced Credit & Risk professional to lead customer credit decision making and support responsible growth across a multi-unit business. This role plays a key part in balancing revenue enablement with financial risk management and partners closely with finance and operational teams to ensure consistency, accountability, and strong cash flow performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee customer credit approvals, including evaluation of financial information, risk profiles, and appropriate credit terms
  • Monitor ongoing credit exposure and proactively adjust limits to align with risk tolerance and business objectives
  • Partner with accounts receivable and internal stakeholders to support effective collections efforts and timely resolution of delinquent balances
  • Address escalated and higher risk accounts through collaboration and sound decision-making
  • Maintain and enforce credit policies, procedures, and approval frameworks across the organization
  • Evaluate current credit and collections practices and implement improvements to enhance efficiency, scalability, and compliance
  • Develop reporting and metrics related to credit exposure, aging trends, and performance indicators
  • Analyze data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities and translate findings into actionable insights
  • Support or lead system enhancements, automation initiatives, and reporting improvements to strengthen visibility and effectiveness
What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in credit, accounts receivable, or financial operations
  • Demonstrated experience with credit decisioning, collections oversight, and risk assessment
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and credit information
  • Experience working in complex, multi-location or high-transaction environments
  • Confident communicator able to partner effectively across departments
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and prioritization skills
  • Comfortable operating independently while collaborating with leadership and cross-functional teams
Preferred (Not Required)
  • Background supporting operational, manufacturing, distribution, or asset-intensive environments
  • Exposure to ERP platforms, credit tools, or financial systems
  • Experience supporting process improvement, reporting enhancements, or system implementations
  • Involvement in developing or refining credit policies and governance frameworks
Additional Information
  • This is a full-time, onsite role with standard weekday hours
  • Occasional travel may be required for internal meetings or external engagements
