Senior Analyst, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Overview The Senior FP&A Analyst plays a key role in driving financial insight, strategic decision-making, and operational performance. This individual will deliver high-impact financial analysis, lead planning processes, and partner closely with senior leadership to influence business outcomes. Key Responsibilities Deliver accurate, timely, and actionable financial analysis to support strategic and operational decisions Analyze historical and current financial performance, identifying key trends, risks, and opportunities Lead development of recurring and ad hoc reporting, including variance analysis and KPI tracking Partner with senior leadership and executive teams to provide insights that drive business performance Prepare and present monthly financial reporting packages, including board-level materials Lead annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and long-term financial planning processes Build and maintain complex financial models to support growth initiatives and scenario planning Identify process improvement opportunities and help implement enhancements across FP&A tools and workflows Support implementation and optimization of financial systems and reporting tools Collaborate cross-functionally on strategic initiatives and special projects Qualifications Required Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field 3+ years of experience in FP&A, corporate finance, or financial analytics Advanced Excel skills (financial modeling, pivot tables, XLOOKUPs, etc.) Strong understanding of financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) and their interdependencies Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills Strong communication skills with the ability to present to senior leadership Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Self-starter with strong ownership and accountability Preferred Experience with NetSuite and/or Adaptive Planning Working knowledge of accounting principles and journal entries Core Competencies Business Partnership: Ability to influence and collaborate with cross-functional leaders Analytical Thinking: Translates complex data into clear, actionable insights Adaptability: Thrives in a dynamic, high-growth environment Communication: Effectively presents financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders Ownership: Takes initiative and drives results with a high level of accountability Collaboration: Builds strong working relationships across teams Why This Role Stands Out High visibility with executive leadership Direct impact on strategic decision-making Opportunity to shape processes in a growing organization Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual's skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs.
