Company: Real Estate Firm - REIT (public company) Role: Accounting Manager Salary: $150,000 - $160,000/annually Location: Long Island, NY (Nassau County) - 5 days a week onsite About the role: We're partnering with a publicly traded REIT who is looking for an Accounting Manager to join their team on Long Island. This role supports financial reporting and accounting operations in a fast?paced environment with tight close timelines. The position works closely with senior leadership and auditors and plays a key role in quarterly and annual reporting. Responsibilities: Support monthly and quarterly close, including journal entries and supporting schedules Prepare and maintain consolidation files (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow, equity, OCI) Assist with quarterly and annual SEC reporting (10?Qs and 10?Ks) and related workpapers Develop financial forecasts and cash flow projections for management and the board Prepare lender reporting, including mortgage packages, financial statements, and rent rolls Perform purchase accounting analyses for acquisitions Research and draft technical accounting memos related to new standards and transactions Assist with tax schedules, including REIT?related filings Maintain internal control documentation and support SOX/COSO testing Coordinate with internal and external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits Prepare debt covenant calculations and investor presentation materials Support ad?hoc projects and special initiatives as needed Requirements: Public and/or corporate accounting experience within a public company environment is required Open to candidates from any industry; real estate experience preferred Strong understanding of financial reporting, consolidations, and internal controls Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a close?oriented environment Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field CPA preferred Vaco by Highspring values a diverse workplace and strongly encourages women, people of color, LGBTQ+ individuals, people with disabilities, members of ethnic minorities, foreign-born residents, and veterans to apply.
