Role: Accounting Manager
Salary: $150,000 - $160,000/annually

Location: Long Island, NY (Nassau County) - 5 days a week onsite

About the role: We're partnering with a publicly traded REIT who is looking for an Accounting Manager to join their team on Long Island. This role supports financial reporting and accounting operations in a fast?paced environment with tight close timelines. The position works closely with senior leadership and auditors and plays a key role in quarterly and annual reporting.

Responsibilities:
  • Support monthly and quarterly close, including journal entries and supporting schedules
  • Prepare and maintain consolidation files (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow, equity, OCI)
  • Assist with quarterly and annual SEC reporting (10?Qs and 10?Ks) and related workpapers
  • Develop financial forecasts and cash flow projections for management and the board
  • Prepare lender reporting, including mortgage packages, financial statements, and rent rolls
  • Perform purchase accounting analyses for acquisitions
  • Research and draft technical accounting memos related to new standards and transactions
  • Assist with tax schedules, including REIT?related filings
  • Maintain internal control documentation and support SOX/COSO testing
  • Coordinate with internal and external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits
  • Prepare debt covenant calculations and investor presentation materials
  • Support ad?hoc projects and special initiatives as needed

Requirements:
  • Public and/or corporate accounting experience within a public company environment is required
  • Open to candidates from any industry; real estate experience preferred
  • Strong understanding of financial reporting, consolidations, and internal controls
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a close?oriented environment
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
  • CPA preferred

  • the individual's skill sets, experience and training;
