We are seeking a technically skilled and detail-oriented Mobile Device Specialist to manage the administration, security, and lifecycle of our enterprise mobile device environment. This role will own the mobile endpoint platform, oversee device deployments and refresh projects, and ensure secure, cost-effective mobile operations across the organization. Responsibilities of Position:
- Administer, configure, and support the organization's Mobile Device Management (MDM) / Enterprise Mobility Management (EMM) platform (e.g., Microsoft Intune, VMware Workspace ONE, MobileIron, etc.)
- Manage the lifecycle of mobile devices (smartphones, tablets, and cellular-enabled endpoints), including provisioning, enrollment, deployment, updates, and retirement
- Monitor and enforce compliance with mobile security policies, encryption, patching, and app management standards
- Lead device refresh and large-scale deployment projects, including testing, rollout planning, and user migration
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to device connectivity, applications, and carrier services
- Maintain accurate billing records, allocating costs to appropriate cost centers, and monitor usage for anomalies or overages
- Evaluate and manage vendor and carrier relationships to ensure service quality, negotiate contracts, and identify cost-saving opportunities
- Collaborate with IT security and infrastructure teams to integrate mobile platforms with identity, access, and security frameworks (e.g., MFA, conditional access, SSO)
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, runbooks, and end-user knowledge base materials
- Other duties as assigned

- This position will not manage employees
Skills & Abilities Needed for Position:
- Strong expertise in MDM/EMM platforms (Intune, Workspace ONE, MobileIron, etc.) and mobile OS ecosystems (iOS, Android)
- Solid understanding of mobile security practices, including device encryption, compliance policies, and data loss prevention
- Experience administering carrier services, billing management, and device procurement
- Strong troubleshooting skills with mobile hardware, operating systems, and enterprise applications
- Familiarity with identity and access management (IAM) systems, directory services (e.g., Azure AD/Active Directory), and enterprise security tools
- Excellent documentation skills and the ability to communicate technical information effectively
Experience & Knowledge Needed for Position:
- 3 yrs hands-on experience managing enterprise mobile devices and platforms in a corporate IT environment
- Strong expertise in MDM/EMM platforms (Intune, Workspace ONE, MobileIron, etc.) and mobile OS ecosystems (iOS, Android)
- Experience with scripting or automation for device management (e.g., PowerShell, API integrations), preferred
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR) as they relate to mobile devices, preferred
- Previous experience leading mobile device refreshes, migrations, or enterprise-scale deployments, preferred

- Frequently lifting/carrying/pushing/pulling a max of 20 lbs
- Rarely lifting/carrying/pushing/pulling a max of 100 lbs
- Rarely stooping/kneeling/crouching/crawling
- Frequently sitting/standing, rarely walking
Additional Working Conditions/Aspects:
- Ability to travel between offices, as required
- Ability to work flexible hours; expected to work nights and weekends as needed
- Ability to work overtime, weekends, and/or holidays
- Legally eligible to work in the United States
- Valid driver's license (if applicable)
- Must successfully complete pre-employment testing
- Must be able to read and speak the English language
