Essential Functions

Pay Rate: $35.00 per hour.

(Additional $1.00 per hour for hours worked between 7:00pm and 11:59pm. Additional $2.00 per hour for hours worked between 12:00am-4:59am).

Shift: 6:30pm - 3:00am

Work Week: Sunday - Thursday (Based in Fresno)



  • Facilitate all repairs on gas and diesel engines (air cooled and water cooled)
  • Diagnose and repair clutches and transmissions (automatic and standard)
  • Diagnose and repair suspension, alignment and steering
  • Troubleshoot and repair air and hydraulic brake systems (including "anti-lock")
  • Able to use lap-top computer and other diagnostic tools for on/off road equipment
  • Diagnose and repair all electronic systems
  • Diagnose and repair drivability and performance problems
  • Install, diagnose and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems
  • Diagnose and repair all emission systems and related components
  • Perform all necessary welding, soldering and fabrication to include aluminum
  • Don Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
  • Service and Repair various Ag equipment and implements in shop and in field

Qualifications


  • Demonstrated mechanical experience repairing heavy duty trucks and trailers
  • Must possess necessary tools to perform repairs
  • Must possess a valid California driver's license and driving record must conform to Foster Farms guidelines
  • Must be able to work with minimal supervision and be self-motivated
  • Must be able to effectively communicate in English, which includes reading and writing and legible penmanship
  • Must be able to work safely and help maintain a safe work environment
  • Must be able to push, pull and lift up to 50 pounds
  • Must be able to climb in and out of trucks continually throughout the shift
  • Must be able to bend over and squat
  • Must be able to continuously be on feet throughout the shift
  • Must be able to work various shifts, overtime, weekends, and occasional holidays as needed
  • Must be able to perform all functions of preceding tech levels
  • Must perform to established time standards for commonly performed repairs
  • Must maintain a clean and orderly work area
  • Must adhere to Foster Farms and State Environmental regulations.
  • Must be able to use laptop computer as a diagnostic and repair tool.
  • Must be computer literate.
  • Must be able to submit and pass a criminal background check
  • Must adhere to Foster Farms lone worker program
  • Must be able to work adjusted shift and start times dependent upon company needs
  • Must be willing and able to assist refer department as needed
