Position Summary

The AlQuraishi Lab in the Department of Systems Biology is seeking a full-time, temporary Research Associate to support computational biology research under the direction of Dr. Mohammed AlQuraishi. This role involves developing and maintaining scientific software (Python, C/C++), running and managing large-scale simulations on high-performance computing systems, and organizing and analyzing structural biology datasets. The Research Associate will also contribute to machine learning-driven modeling efforts, assist with manuscript preparation, and collaborate closely with lab members on interdisciplinary projects at the intersection of mathematics, computational biology, and machine learning.

Responsibilities



  • Developing and maintaining scientific software (python, C/C++)
  • Running and managing large-scale simulations on the HPC systems
  • Organizing and analyzing structural biology datasets
  • Contributing to machine learning-driven modeling efforts
  • Assisting with manuscript preparation
  • Collaborating with lab members on interdisciplinary research at the interface of mathematics, computational biology, and machine learning
