TSC's Airborne Intelligence, Surveillance, & Reconnaissance (AISR) Division is seeking a highly skilled and experiencedDeployed Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License Technician that has extensive experience in completion of Phase maintenance events. This position will support Beechcraft King B200 and B300 series aircraft that are missionized for Maritime Domain Awareness operations. This position has an emphasis on maintaining the aircraft. Experience troubleshooting and repairing avionics and mission systems defects would be considered beneficial, however the primary focus is aircraft maintenance. This position involves rotational OCONUS deployments of 90 days on/90 days off, with TSC providing travel per diem in line with JTR rates. Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct pre-flight and post-flight inspections to verify operational readiness and compliance with safety standards.
- Perform scheduled maintenance and inspections.
- Maintain detailed and accurate maintenance records in accordance with FAA regulations, TSC Maintenance SOPs, and OEM guidelines.
- Collaborate with pilots, crew chiefs, and mission operators to ensure avionics systems meet mission objectives and operational requirements.
- Actively participate in deployed team operations, including non-aviation support roles as required.
- Perform advanced diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repair of avionics systems, including Garmin avionics systems, radar, EO/IR sensors, and mission-specific equipment.
- Utilize specialized test equipment, such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and signal generators, to diagnose and resolve complex electronic issues.
- Provide technical expertise and training to other maintenance personnel as needed.
- Stay current with advancements in avionics technology and apply best practices to improve system performance and reliability.
Required Qualifications:
- FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience maintaining and troubleshooting King Air aircraft in a deployed environment.
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently in austere environments.
- Familiarity with FAA regulations, technical manuals, and maintenance documentation requirements.
- Valid US Passport valid through deployment periods.
- Ability to travel with reasonable notice for assignments lasting up to three months.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with diverse teams and customers.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with missionized King Air 200/350 aircraft equipped with ISR systems, including EO/IR sensors and radar.
- Experience with management and completion of Phase Maintenance Inspections on King Air 200/350 aircraft in a deployed environment.
- Prior military or ISR aviation maintenance experience.
- FAA Inspection Authorization (IA) certification
- Familiarity with Garmin avionics systems, including G1000, G600, and GTN 750 configurations.
- Experience with SATCOM, tactical data links, and other advanced communication systems.
- Strong professional references demonstrate technical expertise and reliability.
- Advanced knowledge of avionics systems, including GPS, autopilot, radar, communication, and navigation systems.
- Proficiency in using avionics test equipment, such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and signal generators.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work in confined spaces and on elevated platforms.
- Physical conditioning necessary to perform mission-critical tasks (reasonable accommodation provided as required by law).
Work Environment:
- Rotational OCONUS deployments of 90-days on/90-days off.
- Work performed in austere and remote environments with limited resources.
- Exposure to varying weather conditions and extended work hours.
