As a Security Officer Access Coordinator in Portland, OR, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic aero and defense location where you will help support security-related access control operations, verify badges and credentials, monitor entry activity, and assist employees and visitors with professionalism and care. Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to all visitors, employees, and contractors by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, badge verification, and other security-related policies at an aero and defense location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, review credentials, authorize or deny access based on post instructions, and document visitor, vendor, and delivery activity in accordance with site protocols.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and unusual situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report security-related concerns, policy violations, and/or suspicious activity to the appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around assigned areas, including restricted access points and perimeter locations, while observing for conditions that could impact operations or require a security-related response.
• Support emergency response activities when appropriate, assist with directional guidance and site information, and complete required logs, reports, and communication records in a timely manner.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
