UX Designer
As a UX Designer at Premier, you will execute interaction and visual design work for both internal enterprise tools and member-facing digital products. You will apply user research findings and business requirements to create user-centered designs that are intuitive, consistent, and aligned with Premier's design standards. You will design interaction flows, wireframes, and prototypes that clearly communicate your recommendations to cross-functional teams including product management and development. This role works within an established UX process and design system, contributing meaningfully to the quality of Premier's product experiences while continuing to grow their craft. A UX Designer at Premier is expected to bring a strong portfolio that demonstrates hands-on, professional design experience and an understanding of user-centered design principles.
Responsibility #1 - 80% | Design
Translate user research findings, business requirements, and technical constraints into clear, well-reasoned design solutions. Design interaction flows, wireframes, and interactive prototypes for desktop and mobile applications. Deliver prototypes of varying fidelity - from low-fidelity click-throughs to polished interactive prototypes in Figma - to effectively communicate design intent to stakeholders and development teams. Produce high-fidelity mockups in Figma that adhere to Premier's design system and visual standards. Participate in design critiques, incorporating feedback from peers and design leadership to improve deliverables. Collaborate closely with product managers and developers throughout the project lifecycle to ensure design integrity is maintained. Follow the user-centered design process and principles as directed by design leadership. Maintain consistency with interaction design standards and flag potential exceptions to design leadership. Seek opportunities to improve the user experience while maintaining alignment with established design patterns. Actively build working relationships within the UX team and across product and development teams.
Responsibility #2 - 5% | Research Application
Apply findings from user research activities - including usability tests, contextual inquiries, and user surveys - to inform design decisions. Collaborate with UX researchers and product managers to understand research insights and translate them into actionable design improvements. Participate in usability testing sessions and assist in documenting observations and outcomes. Conduct light industry research to stay current on UX trends, patterns, and emerging best practices relevant to assigned products.
Responsibility #3 - 10% | Project Management
Manage personal project milestones, deadlines, and deliverable schedules for assigned work. Keep cross-functional teammates informed on design progress and decisions throughout the project lifecycle. Capable of managing up to 3 concurrent projects within an assigned business line.
Responsibility #4 - 5% | General & Administrative
Maintain an understanding of Premier's organizational structure and product portfolio. Perform all administrative duties as assigned, including attending team meetings, submitting time and expense reports, completing required trainings, and performance self-evaluations. Work with supervisor to identify performance improvement opportunities and actively improve in those areas.
Required Qualifications Work Experience: Years of Applicable Experience - 2 or more years
Education: High School Diploma or GED (Required)
Skills:
Proficiency in Figma for wireframing, prototyping, and high-fidelity design Strong visual design fundamentals - typography, color, layout, hierarchy, and composition Working knowledge of interaction design principles and user-centered design methodologies Ability to interpret and apply UX research findings and business direction to design work Ability to take clear direction and execute design work quickly and accurately, iterating efficiently based on feedback Understanding of design systems and component-based design Strong communication skills - able to clearly articulate design decisions to both design and non-design stakeholders Attention to detail and a commitment to producing polished, high-quality work
Experience:
2+ years of hands-on, professional UX or product design experience within a company environment A portfolio demonstrating sustained, full-time design work across multiple projects or products Experience designing for both web and mobile contexts preferred Experience working within or contributing to a design system is a plus
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Product Design, Graphic Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field preferred

Premier's compensation philosophy is to ensure that compensation is reasonable, equitable, and competitive in order to attract and retain talented and highly skilled employees. Premier's internal salary range for this role is $72,000 - $120,000. Final salary is dependent upon several market factors including, but not limited to, departmental budgets, internal equity, education, unique skills/experience, and geographic location. Premier utilizes a wide-range salary structure to allow base salary flexibility within our ranges.
