Description

Skyworks Solutions is seeking a highly motivated multidisciplinary individual to drive end-to-end workflows automation with the goal to reliably accelerate innovation for our RF, mixed signal, and semiconductor product development. This role sits at the intersection of EDA tools, silicon design flows, and scalable software systems. Your work will make a direct impact on companies top and bottom line.


The ideal candidate has hands on experience building EDA workflows, design utilities, and automation infrastructure, and thrives in a collaborative environment working closely with IC designers, CAD teams, packaging, manufacturing and product engineering groups.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain EDA automation products and platform supporting schematic, layout, simulation, verification, packaging etc.
  • Develop software solutions (Python, Tcl) to improve productivity, quality, and design reuse.
  • Customize and integrate commercial EDA tools into Skyworks design flows
  • Collaborate with IC designers, layout engineers, and CAD teams to define automation requirements.
  • Debug design flow issues and improve tool reliability and scalability.
  • Maintain documentation, best practices, and version controlled codebases.
  • Support tape out schedules and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Innovate new way to architect and optimize the end-to-end product cycle flow
  • Use AI/ML to optimize process, built more predictability, reliability across the process flows.

Required Experience and Skills

* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
* 5+ years of relevant industry experience
* Experience or strong familiarity with EDA, CAD, or semiconductor design automation workflows
* Experience with workflow automation
* Experience using Machine learning models to solve EDA challenges.
Core Technical Skills
* Strong programming skills in Python and at least one of C++ or Tcl
* Hands on experience with industry standard EDA tools (e.g., simulation, synthesis, P&R, verification, or flow automation)
* Extensive experience working in Linux/Unix environments
* Experience with version control systems such as Git and/or Perforce/CI/CD
* Expert with Unix/Linux
EDA Automation & Infrastructure
* Experience developing or maintaining EDA workflows, scripts, and automation frameworks
* Familiarity with batch processing systems, job scheduling, and flow orchestration
* Experience designing and maintaining SQL databases to support engineering workflows, metadata, or result tracking
Software Engineering & Operations
* Ability to host, operate, and scale web based software tools in Unix/Linux environments
* Experience setting up and maintaining Apache (or similar) web servers in on premises environments
* Working knowledge of secure and reliable software development practices, including branching strategies such as Gitflow
Cloud & Modern Tooling
* Experience or familiarity with at least one cloud platform (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
* Experience using AI assisted development tools (e.g., Claude Code, OpenAI Codex, or similar) to improve productivity and automation

Desired Experience and Skills

* Exposure to large scale EDA compute environments or regression infrastructures
* Experience supporting hybrid on prem + cloud engineering platforms
* Familiarity with CI/CD concepts applied to EDA flows


The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is currently USD $91,200 - $177,200 per year. Starting base pay will depend on relevant experience and skills, training and education, business needs, market demands, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location. Skyworks has different base pay ranges for different work locations in the U.S. Benefits include access to healthcare benefits (including a premium-free medical plan option), a 401(k) plan and company match, an employee stock purchase plan, paid time off (including vacation, sick/wellness, parental leave), among others. Employees are eligible to participate in an incentive plan, and certain roles are also eligible for additional awards, including recognition and stock.
