Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Position Summary: Experienced, detail-oriented Senior Business Analyst to lead requirements discovery, Agile delivery support, and stakeholder collaboration. Primary focus on eliciting, documenting, and validating business and functional requirements, refining backlogs, and enabling teams to deliver value. Candidate should be comfortable coaching Agile practices and positioned to grow into a junior project manager role. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead requirements discovery and analysis across programs: conduct interviews, workshops, process mapping, gap analysis, and user research to produce clear, testable requirements.
- Produce artifacts: business requirements, functional requirements specifications, user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, wireframes, and traceability matrices using standard templates.
- Decompose epics into features and user stories, prioritize backlogs with product owners/stakeholders, and ensure stories are ready for development.
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies as needed (backlog refinement, sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint review, retrospectives) and coach teams on Scrum/Kanban/SAFe best practices.
- Support iterative planning and release planning; help teams define measurable objectives and success criteria (OKRs/KPIs).
- Collaborate with technical teams, QA, and architecture to validate requirements, define acceptance tests, and ensure requirements map to delivered functionality.
- Maintain and improve workflow efficiency and reporting standards; advise on process standardization and tool usage to increase predictability and quality.
- Manage stakeholder expectations: translate business strategy into solution scope, provide status and decision-support materials, and escalate risks/issues.
- Maintain accurate project/portfolio data (ServiceNow PPM or equivalent) and produce actionable dashboards and visuals for leadership.
- Mentor junior BAs and assist with transitioning into junior PM responsibilities (scheduling, basic project tracking, vendor coordination) where appropriate.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Immediate focus: senior BA responsibilities-requirements leadership, Agile facilitation, and delivering high-quality artifacts.
- Within 6-12 months: opportunity to assume junior PM responsibilities (planning, tracking, risk management, vendor coordination) based on performance and business needs.

Required Qualifications |
Education and Work Experience: Required Qualifications Experience & Skills:
- Ability to obtain Public Trust.
- 5+ years of hands-on business analysis experience (elicitation, modeling, requirements writing, acceptance criteria). Prefer experience that includes exposure to project coordination or PM tasks.
- Demonstrated experience working in Agile environments and coaching teams (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe).
- Strong expertise in backlog management, user story writing, acceptance criteria, and requirements traceability.
- Proven facilitation skills: workshops, JAD sessions, sprint ceremonies, and stakeholder alignment.
- Experience with tools: ServiceNow PPM (or similar), Azure DevOps and/or Jira, and collaboration tools (MS Teams, Zoom).
- Strong analytical thinking and ability to decompose complex problems into actionable deliverables.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills; ability to create user-friendly visuals and dashboards.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree preferred or 7+ years of relevant experience.
Certifications (preferred):
- CBAP or CCBA (or equivalent BA certification) and/or Agile certifications such as CSM, CSPO, SAFe Practitioner/Agilist.
- Any PPM/tool-specific certifications a plus.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience producing wireframes/storyboards using tools (Figma, Balsamiq, Miro).
- Experience with reporting/visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau).
- Prior exposure to project management duties or interest in stepping into a junior PM role.
