Hours:

Monday - Friday: 8AM-5PM

(Additional hours as necessary to meet the objectives of the department)

Function: Develops and prepares reports, provides analytical support, and maintains special purpose finance systems to support assigned function. Assigned function may include: asset/liability management, financial forecast and budget, capital management, market/organizational profitability reporting, account/household profitability.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prepares reports using analytical software programs and techniques including: Empyrean, SAP BusinessObjects Web Intelligence (WebI), Tableau, Monarch, Excel, and others. Develops a proficient understanding of the systems and develops new reports as directed by management. Ensures their accurate and timely distribution.

  • Develops a proficient understanding of the Prologue Risk Manager or Fiserv Management Planning & Control (MPC) system functionality. Maintains and recommends enhancements to the system configurations and data import/reporting processes. Maintains appropriate documentation that adheres to model risk management guidelines, as applicable.

  • Provides analytical support to explain variances and trends. Communicates analytical output to departmental managers.

  • Develops a basic understanding of how relevant items interface to the general ledger and identifies potential irregularities during the financial close process.

  • Assists with data preparation to support the annual operating plan and periodic forecasts utilizing Empyrean.

  • Demonstrates attention to detail and develops methods to check the accuracy of their work.

  • Prepares and maintains procedures and suggests improvements to existing processes.

  • Exhibits intellectual curiosity and proactively acquires job knowledge through experience and asking questions.

  • Maintains a good working relationship with all bank employees. Demonstrates the ability to work independently. Works as a team player to contribute to the success of the department and in turn the organization.

  • Assumes additional responsibilities as required.

Education:

Requires a four-year college degree. Major or area of specialization: Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, or relevant Business focus

Experience:

Requires two to five years general experience. Requires one to two years of specialized experience in finance.

Physical Demands:

Operates a keypad device: 90% of the day and operates office equipment: 5% of the day. Use of manual dexterity skills for typing up to 40% of the business day. Specific vision requirements include close vision of 18"-20", distance vision and depth perception for computer work.
