Quality Final Inspector - Huntsville, AL

Payrate: $34.21

Shift: Evenings 1:00PM- 9:00PM

As a Quality Receiving Inspector you will be a crucial part of our operations, ensuring that a quality product is available to our customers when they need them. Your work will directly affect people's lives!

Primary Responsibilities

The Quality Receiving Inspector will inspect incoming material and conduct routine audits on material storage to ensure compliance with the project specifications, governing codes, and /or manufacturers' recommendations. The Quality Receiving Inspector will document inspection activities on the correct forms, checklists, and/or media approved PPG Standard Work Procedures (SWP) The Receiving Inspector's responsibilities will include, but not limited to, the following:

• Visually inspect materials, parts and equipment for damage and general workmanship.
• Compare part numbers, drawing numbers, specifications, and revision levels on materials, parts and equipment being received.
• Inspect raw/loose material, finished parts, and fittings to planner card instructions and applicable documentation.
• Verify requirements through review of material certifications per project requirements.
• Identify accepted items to be inventoried.
• Perform reviews and acceptance of First Article Inspection (FAI) submittals per AS9102 requirements.
• Liaison and collaborate with Engineering, Quality and Operations personnel on receiving inspection issues or material concerns.
• Support the Shelf-Life process on consumables and other required shelf-life products
• Identify nonconforming items and segregate them from accepted items.
• Collects and records results of inspections by part number and enters data on inspection forms, logs or databases.
• Notify supervisors or other personnel of incoming issues.
