Overview
Responsible for the daily supervision of PSR staff and functions. Works with the PSRs in changing registration processes to improve patient satisfaction. Establishes registration error standards and audits registration data. Provides continuous feedback to staff to reduce error and enhance workflow processes. Participates and coordinates staff training needs including new employee job training. Performs as a working supervisor to meet department staffing and volume fluctuations. Works with Manager/Director and providers to ensure provider schedules are efficient and free of scheduling issues. Works with PSRs to improve point of service collections to ensure financial stewardship. Is responsible with manager to create and disseminate hospital call schedule. Qualifications Certifications: , Education: Associate's Degree; Experience In Lieu of Education, Work Experience: Healthcare Responsibilities Recommends and initiates various personnel actions including but not limited to hiring, performance appraisals, disciplinary actions, and promotions; make work assignments and review and edit work of direct reports. Ensures staff members are adequately trained and are competent to perform all required job tasks. Resolves work related issues or assists employees in solving work related issues. Disciplinary action under the guidance of Human Resources and the Manager/Director Completes duties assigned by the Director. Resolves Customer concerns, questions, and complaints by identifying problems and coordinating appropriate corrective action. Addresses customer service concerns with positive attitude and positive closure for the customer. Ensures staff members are adequately trained and are competent to perform all required job tasks. Coordinates and oversees preceptor(s) for new staff members. Establishes daily work and desk assignments to ensure adequate staffing coverage and good customer service. Establishes standards for reducing registration errors. Reviews with staff on a regular basis registration errors and initiates necessary training to reduce errors. Responsible for department payroll records and activities. Submits payroll information according to organizational processes/standards. Assists staff in dealing with customer service issues and provides timely responses to concerns received from the Patient Relations Department. Assists department leadership in resolving staff work related issues and assists employees in solving work related issues. Is responsible for assigning staff to work the work Queues as appropriate. Assists in training new Patient Services Representatives and serves as a role model by conducting self in a responsible, professional manner. Timekeeper in Kronos for all staff and stay within SVR targets; assist with the processing of payroll by maintaining employee edit requests, PL requests, etc. Responsible for building and editing provider schedules. Compensation and Benefits The compensation range for this position is $26.55per hour - $44.34per hour. This represents a good faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of posting by Carle Health. The actual compensation offered a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts worked and compensation model.
