Job Description

Location Profile:

PCC Aerostructures Auburn is a kitting, assembly, and integration center that was created in 1999 as Primus International with the merger of Bumstead Manufacturing, Inc. and Hansen Machine Corporation. Precision Castparts Corp. acquired Primus International in August, 2011 and has since merged GCM North American Aerospace and Compass Aerospace Northwest with Auburn to create a vertical integration solutions center for medium assembly. The site is a center of excellence for hard metal machining and door assembly.

Position Summary:

The Program Management Specialist performs a variety of activities in support of functional areas including Scheduling, Supply Chain, and Program Management. Activities include gathering, collecting, recording, tracking and verifying data and information from multiple sources. The Program Manager Specialist compiles reviews and analyzes data. The position may manage day to day duties of sustaining programs with customer and vendor interaction.

Shift:

Day shift, 7:00 am - 3:30 pm

Reporting Relationships:

The Program Management Specialist reports directly to the Program Management Manager.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Manage a broad base of purchase order requirements to include customer interface for delivery and schedule
  • Coordinate with production control and other departments to insure on time delivery performance through daily, weekly meetings and other communications
  • Assist with purchase order administration
  • Customer interface for quality defects to include the distribution of customer defect notifications and the resolution to meet customer requirements
  • May perform purchase order review for price, lead time and contract terms
  • May occasionally perform special projects or perform other program management duties as outlined by Senior Program Manager
  • Maintain files (paper and electronic).
  • Familiarize oneself with the organization's processes and procedures including applicable ERP, Inventory System, and Business Quality Management System procedures as applicable.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills:

  • Ability to adapt quickly while maintaining productivity in dynamic conditions and changes in the working environment
  • Accurate data entry.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables
  • High attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with Outlook, Word, Project, Access and Excel.
  • Good general computer skills and ability to query, monitor, and input ERP system data.
  • Ability to utilize a document scanner.
  • Ability to understand process flows and the needs of the functional areas (Program Management, Production, Quality, Suppliers).
  • Ability to professionally communicate and work with others.
  • Willingness to learn and receive training.
  • Experience with ERP/Scheduling systems preferred.
  • Ability to work independently.

Physical Activities Required to Perform Responsibilities:

The responsibilities of the position are performed in a general office environment. Ability to: stand occasionally, walk occasionally, sit continually, hear/listen carefully continually, twist occasionally at the trunk or neck, bend occasionally, reach with hands and arms occasionally, taste and/ use sense of smell infrequently, continually use hands to manipulate, handle and/or feel in the act of performing the required responsibilities of the position. Mental dexterity needed to work independently while demonstrating attention to detail and continuous awareness.

Level of Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent education
  • One or more years of post-secondary education preferred, but not required
  • Two or more years of aerospace experience or equivalent desered.

ITAR/EAR Requirements:

This position requires use of information or access to production processes subject to national security controls under U.S. export control laws and regulations (including, but not limited to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR)). To be qualified to work in this facility, a successful application must be a U.S. Person, as defined in those regulations, and able to supply evidence of that qualification prior to starting work. The U.S. export control regulations define a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), and certain categories of Political Asylees and Refugees.

For informational purposes only, the range of pay for this role is $27.25 to $40.75 US Dollar (USD) Hourly based on a variety of factors. For informational purposes only, this role is eligible to participate in the Company's Quarterly Cash Bonus Plan, paid out at the quarterly bonus factor of 1X the Company's bonus multiple, based on the Company's performance in the applicable quarter . Employees will receive 120 hours paid time off every year. Employees will also receive 10 paid holidays. Employees (and their families) are eligible to participate in the company's medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are eligible to enroll in the Company's 401(k) plan.
