A research intern is needed to conduct cutting-edge research focused on the molecular mechanisms of memory consolidation. The candidate will assist in performing experiments using mice using molecular, cellular, and biochemical techniques. This appointment is for a limited duration, anticipated length of one year with the possibility of renewal for a second year. Position Responsibilities: * Maintain colonies of genetically modified mice: breeding, weaning and genotyping of the mice as well as maintaining electronic records of the colonies. * Perform laboratory maintenance. * Maintain laboratory and experimental records. * Assist postdoctoral fellows or graduate students in maintaining mouse colonies and performing genotyping and experiments. * Keep detailed written and organized records of experimental design, protocols, computer data analysis and raw data.
