Under the direction of a supervisor performs duties in sterile processing and the operating room to assist the surgical and anesthesia teams by maintaining instrumentation and supplies, by troubleshooting and supporting implant cases, and by educating others related to surgical implant procedures. Inspects and verifies proper function of implants and instruments and refills implant trays with implantable materials after case-use. Makes recommendations to management on the purchase of new or replacement implant instrumentation and implant systems for the operating rooms.

Education:

Work requires a high school diploma or GED. Bachelor's degree is preferred. Experience beyond the work experience requirement may be substituted for the degree on 2 years of experience for 1 year of education basis.



Required Licensure, Certification, On-going Training:

Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician (CSPDT) from Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD) OR Certified Registered Central Sterile Technician (CRCST) from Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA)



Work Experience:

Minimum two years instrument processing experience required




Salary Range: Minimum 23.35/hour - Maximum 38.54/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
