Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center (Fred Hutch and the University of Washington (UW) Department of Pediatrics, Division of Hematology Oncology are jointly recruiting a full-time advanced Pediatric Bone Marrow Transplant/Immunotherapy Fellow (Research Associate) with an appointment as Acting Instructor in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Washington School of Medicine. This is a full-time, 12-month service period, annual appointment. The primary appointment will be in the Clinical Research Division of Fred Hutch.



Responsibilities

The selected individual for the advertised position is expected to participate in a year-long fellowship program with the goal of becoming an expert in pediatric hematopoietic cell transplantation (HCT) and Immunotherapy. This position will rotate through outpatient HCT services (autologous and allogeneic transplant, immunotherapy, long term follow up/survivorship) and on the inpatient transplant service with increasing levels of independent patient care responsibility over the course of the year. Exposure to some of our unique clinical programs (including non-malignant transplantation, high risk leukemia, and survivorship) will be part of the learning experience as well. Approximately 75% of the year will be devoted to clinical activities with the remaining time available for the opportunity to participate in research projects, which will be determined based on identification of mentors and projects. University of Washington faculty engage in teaching, research, and service.



Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    Applicants must have an MD/DO degree (or foreign equivalent) and be board eligible/certified in General Pediatrics (or foreign equivalent).
  • Eligibility for medical licensure in the state of Washington by anticipated start date

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Interest in pediatric hematopoietic cell transplantation and/or immunotherapy.
  • Completion of fellowship in pediatric hematology/oncology (or foreign equivalent).

The annual base salary range for this position is from $130,000 to $164,986, and pay offered will be based on experience and qualifications.

This position may be eligible for relocation assistance.

Although Fred Hutch is not sponsoring most H-1B visas at this time, candidates who already hold an H-1B sponsored by another organization and are currently in the U.S. may be eligible for this position.
